My Z is long gone. It was totaled by my insurance and sold on eBay. But the parts that were stolen from it have not been found, and, to me, it's a curious coincidence that this car has a hood, bumper and lip which may have originally been black, much like the parts taken from my car.

My understanding is that the Z's VIN is marked somewhere on the hood of the car. If so, that would be just like a "Jetspank was here," but better. Chances are it's been filed off of the stolen part, but even that would be good to know.

And yeah, thieves suck. I got a VW CC after this all went down, which is a nice car and all, but 6 months later I'm still incredibly, incredibly bummed by the loss of my Z.

How do you like the CC, I have been considering one and my girlfriend just got an EOS, which is pretty sweet.

It’s a great car for the money. It's sporty and fairly luxurious (heated seats, satellite radio, auto windshield wipers, etc, etc, even in the base model) and I also like that all maintenance is free for the first 3 years, even oil changes. It's solid and well-made and the interior is very comfortable. But damn, I miss the acceleration and handling of the Z.

I guess I kinda pussied out, cuz I didn't want the basterds who raped my Z coming back and doing the same thing if I got another one. In other words, the terrorists won. Still, when I saw a 370 on the road the other day, I really thought I made a mistake. Wished I'd just gone for it, and installed a state of the art alarm.

Ah well. Next car.
