I think you would need a tune in order to run that high of an octane.

0 benefit w/o a tune. The higher octane is essentially its resistance to knock. The higher the octane the higher the threshold against knock. I have tried it a few times, and the only time I could see any nominal diff (really nothing) was when it was very hot and the car was pulling some timing to keep it safe. The 100 will most certainly allow you to add some timing in tuning, which in theory should add some power/tq. Most 100 is not leaded. I would caution you against using leaded gas......not only is destructive to catalytic converters, but when you used in quantity it will have an even more destructive effect on the o2 sensors. Like I said, 100 and 104 is very easy to find in Unleaded though.

$8 is pretty good pricing actually. The sunoco near me sells it in 5 gallon drums from $45.95-$49.95. That being said, it is a waste unless you have a dedicated map for it with aggressive timing.

i read somewhere once doing research it actually will negatively affect performance without a tune on our cars... the higher octane messes with the electronics somehow... I forget where I read it, it was here on the forums though.

lol no one uses SARD parts here somehow. But they're some super JDM high quality fuel parts. I dated this girl for a little bit that worked for SARD back when she was in Taiwan. If I was more serious with her we probably would have some serious hookup on SARD parts right now!! Shame on me....

So just go a couple weekends!

I'm down for some road courses. I'm not into 1/4 mile that much. But I'd like to improve my driving skills. And maybe get some pointers from the veterans at the track.
