I don't wish for him to crash, but I hope he plans to crash everytime he goes out.
I plan on crashing every time I take my bike out and expect it. It's nice when I make it home with zero issues =) that's a part of riding. As soon as you stop being on full alert 100% of the time you ride. You get hit, or hit a patch of sand, or friggin grass clippings.
With that being said, barnie went from a 600 to a 1000. He'll hear me nagging about did he flip it or highside it for a good while to come. Once hes fully adjusted to the power of the 1000 I'll back off a bit. However, at that point he'll start to push it in turns causing highslides to become easy. When pushing a 1000 all it takes is the slightly twitch of the wrist while in a turn to get thrown off.
600s are VERY forgiving.
Barnie don't forget my stand.

ahhh.. i see where you're coming from... in other words everytime you ride, just plan on laying down or something to that extent...
Barny.... i'm just gonna get the high flow cats first and then see how well they bolt up to the ypipe...if they don't...well.. i'll hit up gzilla hahaha

jeff Ill pick up your stand one of these days I still do want it.
And I have yet to go past half throttle but I will say I like how smooth the power delivery is on this bike vs the jerky power delivery on the 600

1000s have power everywhere so it makes life easy when you don't want to rev the **** out of it. However, you have no idea what you're talking about =)
Why do I say that? You've yet to take the bike past half throttle. from 10-14K on my bike, 1st 2nd or 3rd gear, the slightest bump in the road or jerk of the throttle will pull the front up. rear tire tends to get sideways very often in 1st gear. I've also spun up my rear tire doing hard downshifts coming out of a corner.
a 600 makes no power below 6K only a little power from 6K to 10K and then it gets fun after 10. so down low a 600 might seem jerky but really, you shouldn't be using the bike at that low of rpm. It's jerky because its like please stop riding me in too high of a gear! Keep the 600 over 8K and you'll never notice it =)
The 1000s are very easy to ride because they wont fuss no matter what gear or rpm. However when you get them up top, holy hell. They are wonderful.

Lately i noticed you've been talking about the accidents and what not Jeffie... I can understand what you're saying about the safety and precautions. But it's getting a lil unnerving when you say you can't wait for barny to flip his bike and what not...not sure if you're joking anymore...
I wouldnt want to wish that on anyone...joking or not..

I just want you to try the stand, see how it works for it. If you like it make me an offer if not I'll keep it.

So where's this place that has good sausage gravy and what else have you had to match it with?
Some of the better known MD places for breakfast use premade products and fix them up a bit so they seem home made =( Place in Ocean City is well known for their chipbeef. World famous chipped beef! Too bad its from a can =( yet people like it for some reason lol.
