If I have the following: 5/16 Plenum Spacer, JWT Popchrg, aftermarket exhaust is it worth going to this magical Hill's Garage for a tune? Or would I have to have significant engine upgrades like the rest of you guys?
Only reason I'm asking is because some douche in a souped up Neon tailed me 1/2 way up Rt.1 the other trying to bait me into racing him.
<<<Has a feeling some engine mods may be on the horizon. >:0[

^^ Replaced the OEM exhaust with an HKS III true-dual and I believe i still have the stock cat-converters. Doesn't running test pipes mean instant problems with MD's finest, problems passing 2 yr inspection, and that fresh, minty fuel smell inside the car????

I never, ever ran into an issue with MD police for the test-pipes...as long as you don't pop a cel (easily deleted)....you will pass emissions. It does add the smell though.

I was gonna Google this, but **** I'll just ask you. When people come on here talking about the CEL issue what exactly does that mean and what's the remedy for it? I'm assuming test pipes cause some issues with the emissions computer when they're conducting the inspection?

Usuually test pipes throw the CEL for reading to rich since you dont have cats there anymore... a tune, O2 spacers, or defoulers can fix this issue most of the time.

If you're seriously telling me that with test pipes and a tune I can step from 287 to 307 with no danger to the engine I may have to start shopping again....
