Gears are 400-500 for install....I'd imagine the LSD install is roughly the same...perhaps a bit less. Why not run a 3.9 or 4.08 with the ls2?
I did think about it but I didn't want to lose to much of the top end and first gear is damn near useless as it is. I just figured that the 3.7 would be a happy medium but I guess the 3.9 would be fine too.
Remember my gearing is different from the Z 5 speed.
That's about what I figured....I wish GM hadn't geared their trans with such tall 6th gears....I know they only did it so that it would bolster mpg, but it's silly.

Yeah but I pull 170mph at around 5400 before I chickened out and let off. It felt like it was too light in the a$$ at that speed. Less like driving and more like flying or hovering. The car was still pulling but it felt like I'd lost traction in the rear. Kinda weird and a little scary. I think I need a wing or spoiler before I try it again.
Besides it doesn't help my MPG much considering I'm only getting about 220 miles from a full tank.

Jeebus Johnson I still get ~28mpg on the highway in my car. Doesn't 5th gear go to ~190?
I suppose it should I was in 5th at the time. I can do 135 at the top of 3rd into 4th.
That might be wrong though. The 2005 C6 had a final gear of 3.42 but I'm still using the 350z 3.54 gear. I don't think I can hit 190 in 5th to be honest.
