Default I got a good one for the mechanically inglied.

Today i had called a customer who dropped of his car for a diagnostic test the night before. He said it was idling bad and running poorly and his battery light was flickering.

This morning my master tech goes out to start the car and its dead as a door ****.We jump it with a jump box and bring it into the shop and test the charging system and find out the alternator is dead.

I call the customer and tell him we have to start first by replacing the bad alternator.....he goes off and starts saying well it was working when i dropprd it off.I said well it looks like a brand new battery was just put in the car so more then likely it had a bad alternator to begin with.He then starts the ranting about how walmart said he just needed a new battery.....so i told him you have 2 choices go back to walmart or i can fix it for you.

He then calls back and said what the *** is going on in your parking lot.....do you have some kind of alternator eating creatures or what as walmart insists it was the battery.I then said why is there a glowing red battery light on your dash staring you in the face......he said walmart said it was the battery.

What i find the funniest thing i have heard in over 30 years in the auto repair bus is the remark of you have alternator eating creatures in your parking lot.He also said he was going to call the BBB and i said please do as they will get the laugh of there lifetime from an *** like you.

Sorry just had to rant about some of the most fuking bullsh!t i have ever heard stories from customers.

The worst part is: you still have to be nice and keep on smiling! Try working in the computer programming field and explaining programming language to a noob... now THAT is a big fat headache.

Yea trying to explain why a "custom" software would take 4 weeks of labor to a military IT program officer was like trying to convince to him that Rosie O'Donnell is indeed a hottie.

But yea Keith.. I totally hear you about this! Bad/Ignorant customers FTL!
