Great turn out.. to many cars for my taste. had a viper and a lambo there. I turned around at the base. Wifey wasnt feeling good

 

I agree - there were a ton of cars.

I got separated from the back in Front Royal, but caught up just in time to get booted from Shenandoah by Park Police. Good times up until then - see everyone at the next meet.

What happened back there? They didn't let anymore 350z's come in?

 

We were told that if they see any more Z's or Infiniti's at 211 they will arrest them. They wanted us all out at 211. We were told that b/c of our number that we needed a special pass to be allowed to have a gathering like that. Also they had set up various speed traps and clocked us going at least 53 in a 35 zone. The officer stated that "wreckless endangerment". He mentioned where we were clocked. For a short while there I was leading the group but could not go any faster due to a group of 5 motorcycles. If we were going that fast with our number I'm wondering if those cycles got warned as well?<sarcasm>

My apologises for promising a leisurely Sunday drive, then everyone getting hassled by the park police. It was certainly not my intention to turn everyone into criminals.

I approached one of the park cops to see why the various 350Z/G35 groups were being pulled over. I explained that I organised the cruise. Big mistake. I went from organiser to head criminal in charge of vehicle mayhem. Asked if I had a Special Use Permit , the Chief explained that we had upset the patrons, and ordered that we vacate the park immediately at VA211.

The Chief took my licence and registration, and said that I will be investigated for violating Title 16, U.S. Code and Title 36, Code of Federal Regulations, 2.50.

Despite the cops and being ordered to leave the park, turnout was nothing short of incredible!

 

I fight with the cops with my little 100 car meet every week. I told them once that I had organized it... they threatened me with hostin an illegal meet.

It was pure awesomeness. Had a great time. Burger King stop FTW.

That's the same **** that happened up there with the vette group I used to run with!

I bailed at 211 anyway. Had to get back home, but I had a blast before then. There was a guy in white Fairlady who was having a hell of a good time at the front of our group. I think he was going 53!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw some sweet cars and mods and now I have to hide my credit cards!
