I switch tags with another 240sx I have. It seems to get emissions tsted every year LOL. As for the VIN plate I drilled out the rivets took it off the dash, put in new rivets that are not attached to anything to fill the hole and glued a magnet in the dash and now it has a removable vin plate that I can switch between cars I've never even had someone look at the VIN plate but better safe then sorry.

I have had a member PM me with some possible help. I didnt have a chance to go up on Saturday so with or without help Im going to a station with rollers tomorrow.
Worst case scenario I FAIL, get an extension then its just a matter of getting a receipt no worries.
I'll keep everyone updated.

No reason to yell. You apparently have your opinion and I have mine. If everyone took the attitude that it is ok to pollute the air, we would all be breathing foul air. Fortunately, most people are responsible enough to keep their cars in a condition to not pollute the air. Besides, it is illegal to remove the catalytic converters and there is a pretty hefty fine if caught.

I have this same dilemma to confront next week in VA. Such a PITA. I feel for ya Alberto. I'd just say F it and get the receipt.
When u go make the broken bumper look as good as possible and when they hit it and it falls file a claim for a new one. lol
LOL at the "Green" guy. They seem to come out of the woodwork. haha

I wish I had a camera in the car for when I pulled up into the service lanes, you would have been able to see the dumbfounded/owned expression on my face as I realized the rollers at Montgomery East (thanks Dan you fawking **** itch!) were gone!!!
LMFAO-they got rid of them 1 month ago according to the guy who did the test. I flat out told him it would fail, and be bad. It did, but only 2 codes came up, that pertain to emissions. I asked him if the car needed no CEL period or no CEL with relation to emissions he said none period, but the printout would disagree as my 27 codes all didnt show up.
I cant find my scanner for the life of me, but when I do I'll confirm what I think is a catalytic converter inefficiency pair of fail.
Sooooo, 2 options one is now $450 of work to car, after I go back with "receipts" and fail again----> bingo 2 years extension, as the manager told me. Does not have to be emissions related work either, can be engine, mechanical, fluids, whatever.
I have an idea that would provide a permanent solution to this but once I see if its possiile I'll post about. I have until Feb 3!!!!
