Default Why is this happening?

Ok, so i've had my 350Z for about 4 years now and have decided to join the rest on here, hence the phenomenally low post count, i talked to one of my Z friends and he told me to type up the scenario on the forum and see if anyone knows what im talking about and can help fix this, soooooo anyway, ive had this vortech supercharger on here for probably 8 months now and i noticed smoke coming from under the hood one day at a stop light, it was about 4am and no one was out, and as worried as i was, the red light didnt stop me from sittin there wondering what was wrong so i ran the light and pulled into the nearest parking lot shut it off opened the hood and i see oil everywhere and looked like its coming from the spark plug tubes where the coils go/sit. The valve cover gasket seems to be good since there wasnt any oil around the valve cover except for what had gone over the edge from the plug tubes, but it has sprayed or leaked enough on both sides to pour or drip onto the exhaust manifolds and cats to create the smoke i saw, any reason oil should be coming out of the spark plug tubes, looks like its actually gettin through the seal on the valver cover that goes around the metal tube, i cant think of any other place it would be coming from or why its even coming out, any help??????

You need new valve covers. Not an uncommon problem on the Z's

ya the dipstick is just fine, it even sprayed the hood on the passenger side close to the windshield but there was no sign of anything by or near the dipstick, it was all around the coils, and this sucks cuz i DEFF dont have $600 for valve covers, assuming according to you guys that thats the problem,, but the pass side is the worst, oil was seriously EVERYWHERE on that side, GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

the problem isnt with oil gettin in or out of the plenum, apparently its coming from the valve cover seals so a catch can wont fix the problem unfortunately, if at all it might help slightly but not enough, if the seals really have gone bad and i need new covers, im hoping someone has a spare or extra set i can get for the time being, i dont have the $$$ to put down for new ones right now, this is my only car too, geez, what an inconvenience, this sucks soo bad!!!

ya i thought about the whole rRTV thing, just not sure how to do it, at least not yet till i get them off and look at them, depending on how thick or thin the seal is, ill probably just put some around the plug tube to widen it out a lil bit to make it tighter around the seal, wow, gonna take some time for this one, at least i have all the RTV i want from work, haha
