Default My girlfriends car issue has me stumped

My gf drives a 2001 nissan altima gxe( sadly its at) when we had that big snow storm, it sat for a couple days, then when we finally dug the cars out, we let them warm up in the driveway for maybe 15min. when we got ready to go everytime she put her car into reverse or drive it would start sputtering then stall. Didnt really have time to mess with it so we just took my car instead, and when we came back a couple hours later it ran normal and we dropped it off at nissan because the turn signal relays were getting replaced anyway and we asked them to check it out and they couldnt find anything wrong with it, and its been running great since, and then last night at work she calls me upset because its doing it again, and she was stuck in williamsport. i got there and same thing so i drove it home putting it in N at lights and then staring out using the gas and brake, it almost seemed like it was in limp mode while driving-no power, but then it started running normal when we were almost home. so i let her take the z to work and then my luck i get called in, so i get in the altima- runs fine, and then 5min down the road when i came to a light it started to sputter and then stalled so i duno? theres no cel,no code and everything looks pretty good
Anything would be helpful..... at least my car runs good

Bad Gas? Try some gas treatment. I know that sounds way too obvious but it might be something really simple like that. Was it sitting with a full tank of gas? You could have some moisture issues. Fill it up with some fresh gas and then add the stuff in and drive on the highway for a little bit.

It's really hard to solve car issues if there's no pictures of this so called gf.

those cars are notorious for intake gasket leak. spray some water out of a water bottle or some brake cleaner right where the intake manifold attaches to the head. All the way up and down if ur idle changes thats more than likely your problem.

MAF... on maximas they do the same thing... The MAF sensor starts to act up and goes out. Its just two star bolts and just unplugs... replace that portion and it should be just fine...

If he is still dating the same girl as before he's doing well! She is pretty hot! By far way better than before.

It's really hard to solve car issues if there's no pictures of the OP in a Speedo.

maybe try carb cleaner on the MAF before replacing it? that would be the cheapest fix.
