Going to Dubai!
As the title states I'm lucky enough to be traveling to Dubai in mid July. The husband of my wife's teaching assistant works there and she invited us to join her when she goes to visit him. Airfare alone was $1700 per person but since we are getting free room and board and at his appartment on the Palm Island and a guide since his wife has lived there before, it makes the fare bearable. I cant wait for this one in a life time trip! Any recommendations? So far I've got:
Have lunch at the Burj Al Arab/The tower of Arabs/Sail shaped hotel (can only get in if you are a guest or have a reservation for a $108 "tea" lunch )
Desert Safari - dune bashing FTW
Burj Khalifa/world's tallest building - (Not afraid of heights but this might be testing it)
I wanted to go to Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi badly but the park doesn't open until OCT of this year . Maybe we can just go to the Yas Marina track for a tour.

give him a buzz. He'll make sure you won't make it back to the states alive.
no. just kidding. This nightcrawler_8 dude is a great guy. A real guy so don't worry.
How long are you going to be in Dubai gmueip?
You might want to try the Dubai Autodrome and/or the KartDrome.
Book yourself in one of the restaurants in Bab Al Shams. Preferably Al Hadeera where you can try some delicious arabic food while you watch the belly dancers and stuff. It's a hotel resort in the middle of the desert.
But better to get yourself ready for the heat 'cuz July is supposed to be the hottest month of the year here. 125deg f, high humidity, dehydration, heatstroke and **** like that. lol

And I'm already prepping for the heat as I will be going to Panama at the end of the month.

Went there on deployment last year; spent a total of 19 days there...Its awsome...
Ferarri is building a race track themed roller coaster with F430 shells as the coaster cars. You should go snow boarding in the Mall of Emirates and the Lebonease place that over looks the inside mountain is really good....and if you pass that restaurant theres this simple, nice looking bar...they have absinthe.
The irish village is pretty sweet too....Im going back in September along with Istanbul, Greece, Tel Aviv, and Lebanon
