Going to Dubai!

What palm do they live on? The hotel I stayed at overlooked the Palm of Jumeirah. I couldn't tell it was a palm until I went up to the bar on the 52nd floor(good bar/restaurant, tallest in Dubai so it's popular). You can see the pumps pumping the sand to the palm. The Grosvenor is across the marina and has a champagne lounge that you should definitely check out if you're in that area.
Try to get in an open day at the autodrome, where you can rent a bunch of different cars, and only a DL is needed to hop on an F1 level track. The safari is fun, but make sure you go with a company that hauls ***, not one concerned with being "safe".
Go to the Dubai Marine for some of the clubs, along with Atlantis' club(check out Atlantis too). They change up a lot and the newest is usually the best. There was also a place with a ship in the middle of a pool, with stairs and bean bags, with hooka/bars/clubs that was pretty cool, but I forget the name as I was a few deep by the time we got there. Off of Sheik Zayed Road (if I remember, the road the Burj Al Arab is on) there was an amazing restaurant, get the grill platter(or w/e it's called, everything from the grill/sides) and the hooka was served out of a pineapple(best I've ever had).
The mall is huge and if you like jewelry, fashion, expensive gadgets, or anything else you could think of, you'll find what you need, plus some. Check out the valet for some of Dubai's exotics, and the exotic car dealerships are a couple minutes away. The ski place is fun, my first time snowboarding, plus drinks made for a few entertaining descents.
Don't try to do any drugs. Get drunk and do as you want in the club, but don't carry the drunkenness outside too much. Be respectful, and in Dubai money is your answer, it buys you yes.

The size of the mall of Dubai is ridiculous. We spent 2 days in a row there and still didn't see the whole thing. My feet hurt for the rest of the week after that.
That's an actual Land Rover in that giant toy box.

Our hosts apartment in the Palm Jumeirah
The clubhouse was like a mini resort
The branches of the palm. Still trying to figure out who owns the gigantic villa at the end.

My camel came in first
The royal family’s private viewing booth
