Default Help car won't start

Hey guys, I'm in need of some help. Went out to my car this morning for work and it won't start. I turn the key and it cranks and cranks but just doesn't turn over. I have no idea what could be going on.
Anybody have any ideas that could help me out....

Haven't done anything with that lately...I wasn't aware the car would still crank at all if that wasn't working

Hmm, possible fixes/efforts towards a solution?
I'm gonna try another key tomorrow morning to see if that changes anything

Could be the battery. That's what my battery did when it was around 5 years old. Replaced it, and it's been happy since.

Last time that happened to me was the battery too. It cranked, won't start. Jumped it, it started up just fine. The next day, it would crank and not start again. Got frustrated and bought a new battery: solved all my issues.

battery is a weird one because it does crank. maybe unless it sees X many volts it just wont fire the coils.

First things first, based on other people saying battery if its 3 years or older go replace it. If that doesnt work, go to plan b.

That is strange, I haven't had any problems starting before. Battery gauge is at 12v. Tried to jump it with a jump pack and that didn't work so I tried again with my roommates car and got no change in symptoms.
Since its a 7 year old battery with 55k miles, I'll try changing out the battery today to see if that does anything.

LOL, although I am asian, its the factory battery that came with the car in '03. I haven't had a need to change it thus far.

ding ding ding.

lol Did I call it or what! bahahha

Here's the thing, it's hard teaching Asians this but I try. It's not about needing it or not. Sometimes items like batteries will just die. They can cause all kinds of problems.

You say you don't need it but then one day you go to use your car and you find out, oh wait, yes I do need it. It's not bad when it happens at home when you have a 2nd car, but when you're out at a store, the tow bill alone could = the cost of 2 batteries.

My 6 month old battery died - because I kept it hooked up and the charge trickled away. Cars like to be driven at LEAST once per 3-4 days. Any prolonged sitting will kill batteries (unless you disconnect it or have a trickle charger) tried to hook up the jumpers for 3hrs, no luck. Cranks but won't fire over.

Jeffie, i3ao is my cousin BTW =)
