I agree with this guy 100%

I mean, technically, you were in the wrong because the speed limit remains the same until you can see the newly posted sign - IMO (and I think it's the law too)

However, I can see where the STATE is wrong because there should be a 35mph sign in that area, especially if they are going to police that area. I mean, since there is a sign that said MAX SAFE SPEED 10mph at the toll, shouldn't the speed limit be 10mph until you get to the 65mph sign? I mean, based on the officers logic.

I think you got a really shady ticket, definitely something that would be considered "profiling" since we drive sports cars and I am sure every SUV does the same thing. Unfortunately, they take a lot longer to get to 65mph and by they time they are close, they can see the 65mph sign. Unlike us, we can be at 75mph really quick.

I would go to court, plead your case, assume that you are going to lose, but propose that if cops are going to police that area for your type of violation, then there should be more appropriate signage.
