Now that you can easily pass the guard, I can't wait to see Kyle tap out.

Everything they do in BJJ we do, however we do 10X more stuff, not just more ground work but also all the take downs/throws of Judo and stand up of normal karate.

BJJ is great but its taking x many moves and downsizing it to fit their teaching style. Also I don't believe BJJ teaches self defense stuff, more so sport fighting.

Example, we teach that anytime you do a side mount arm bar Most styles teach you to lay on leg across the chest and another leg across the face. In sport this is great, however in self defense the person being put into an arm bar will bite a chunk out of your leg, We teach to kick the face then plate the foot under the neck/head.

Also anything is fare game from bending small joints (not allowed in MMA style martial arts) as with bites and anything else...

I love traditional martial arts because nothing is watered down, you learn everything rather then a school that takes 4 out of 20 moves from X and 6 out of 20 moves from Y and calls it their own. We learn everything.

I was just asking. We learned basic basci BJJ in the army. So I figure it wont be too hard to add to it.

We didnt learn a whole lot just a few basic chokes/bars and mounts, guards and defense positions and basic passing the guard.

Im sure it will start to come back to me if I do it again lol
