Congrats Goof. Looks like a beast.
My recommendation on the S/C is get a fresh rebuild if you're questioning it...can you really put a price on peace of mind? For me...if I question something on my car I constantly think about it and it can actually take away from the enjoyment of driving it (and not feeling bad about beating the pi$$ out of it for grins )
These are my stages of "Modding" to add to everyone else's comments.
Beginner
Little to no risk. Forgiving.
DD=Stock
Far too many people know very little about wrenching on cars. Keep it simple and basic..little maintenance needed. No aftermarket FI. Minor bolt ons. Safe.
Novice
Moderate Risk...don't be a rookie driver and it will last a long time with good maintenance and care.
Can be Daily Driven daily but requires more maintenance and routine monitoring and checking (recommended weekend/fun car).
Stock Motor/internals. After market and upgraded FI with minor fuel modifications and upgrades. Efficient, not extreme.
Expert
No Rookies. Know the car or it will own you.
Weekend only. TONS of maintenance and constant monitoring. Lots of risk.
Built motors/internals. Upgraded internals, FI, valves, methanol, additional fuel modifications/pumps. Extreme.

400+WHP TT for 3 years now...20k miles later it's still runs like it did in the beginning. Wouldn't change a thing...except skip the light flywheel.
