As for drag racing I've done a handful of it when I was younger, ran my 280ZX Turbo as with my Honda back in the day, in the end I found that I really didn't give a damn about drag racing.

If I were to get into racing I wouldn't give two ***** about my car and follow alberto to VIR for some bike racing, now THATS where it's at.

P.S I have no idea where they're at but my N/A civic had some 13 second time slips.

Racing on bikes is fun, but I can't get past not having some metal around me. Just this weekend I watched a T1 Z06 vette hit the wall at turn one on Summit Main......at 145mph. Walked away with some soreness, etc, but.....he walked away. Brake line broke and he never had a chance to save it.

 

Likewise man, always nice catching up, we should definitely plan more track meet ups over the summer, not that we are going to run stellar times in the heat, but its always a good time... although we should probably start bringing a tent and a cooler lol

Yea he has cause he recorded it when it was being tuned....just hasnt heard it since.

 

Sounds fun, let me know so I can try and make it out at least to watch. Maybe if we do an evening test and tune run it won't be as bad but like you said we won't put down any good times during the heat.

 

Leaning into the corners > leaning out of them (body roll, even if slight). I do want to take a car onto a road course though, I just cant do it in the Z, not anywhere near reliable enough.

Summit Main will always be in my head as I had the most fun and terrifying experience there. I got lucky both bike and health.

Even though Jeffie doesnt like dragging, Id still like to see him run his car to see what he can do. I think everyone regardless of mods should run for fun every now and then.

Shin has been a good sport thru all of this, Id like to see him run on a cooler day/night.

 

Doesn't Cecil have Wednesday night runs? We could all do that sometime?

 

Even on a Wednesday night, it'll still probably be 70-80 degrees. I can't imagine the weather being that much better.

I'm down for a weds TNT how about jun 8th or 15th? Weds you will get about half the runs you got that Saturday due to the shorter time of being open.

Yes it will be 70-80 out, but it won't get any hotter compared to a Saturday when you get there at 9am it's 70 and by 1 or 2 it's 90+ with the sun beating down on you.

I'm sure AJ will be down for one of those days.

Plus it's cheaper to have some fun $15 (weds) vs $35 (sat) TNT.

werd, I would be down for some fun runs, unfortunately Wed nights are pretty much impossible for me, but if one opens up I will let you guys know. also I am down for some Saturday sessions during the summer as well

 

I'm going to Cecil tomorrow with my brother and his FC if anyone wants to join.
