Horsepower for Heros- Charity Dyno Day
Well since I bought a Z I am opening the event up to all cars now. The premise of the event is a chairty dyno day and car show with every single cent of proceeds going towards the Disabled American Veterans Association. We are looking to have anyone come out and support. Space is limited on the dyno but all submissions will be reviewed based on donation and other factors. Here is some copy and paste of the FB page.
Hp for Hero's is a charity dyno-day and car show for all cars. It is going to be a great time having everyone come out on a Saturday afternoon and see what kind of numbers people are putting down. All of the proceeds will be given to The Disabled American Veterans Association.
The event will be held at CBRD SpeedFactory which is located on 1650 Whiteford Rd York PA 17402. The premise is to get all of the high hp cars in the surrounding area to come out and put down some big numbers on their Mustang Dyno.
Dyno runs will be limited to 12 cars total, with more if there is time at the end of the day. This means we are looking for you to either have big hp or a big donation. With a minimum of $125 dollar donation you will receive 4 pulls on the dyno, free lunch, and a special T-Shirt. Now since this is all for charity CBRD has hooked us up with free use of the facilites, and is charging $75 for the dyno runs. This means that from the pulls alone we should net $600 for the charities.
So now your wondering what if I dont have a ridiculously high hp car. Thats okay, we will also have a show going on in the lot, with prizes to be awarded. CBRD also has race simulators that for $1 a run you can compete to have the best lap time, winning the pride of your peers and some other goodies as well. There will be music cranking, cheap good food, and just an all around fun day to get out as fall starts.
While you are here you can check out CBRD Speedfactory, which is any motorheads dream with a shop that puts most to shame and a level of professionalism unmatched by most tuners.
They will also be providing a demo of their Redline Time Attack Evo, which is something that must be seen and heard in person to fully take in. (see pics for more)
So your probably saying well how am I supposed to make my best hp if I can only run 93. Boom we have you covered there as well. There is a supplier less than 2 miles away that sells every variant of race fuel all the way up to 116 octane. And they are open on saturday!
So down to the nitty-gritty. If you are going to be making a trek you will find that we arent that far from most areas. NYC is around 3 hours without traffic. DC is 1:45 at the most. People from the Philly region can make it under two hours easy.
With the event ending around 4 if you wanted to make the trip back you would be fine.
However for the more local people or people planning to spend the night we will also be cruising to a restaurant (tbd) for some post event shenanigans. And of course downtown York will also be in full stride as their is no lack of bars or restaurants to choose from. And when the night ends depending on intrest we will have a group rate going at the local Hampton or Holiday inn.
So this is a great chance to put your money where your mouth is. Have you been battling haters on forums because they claim shenanigans on your dynos runs. This is your chance to put it up on a non-biased dyno under normal temps(October) and see what you really have. Plus its going to be a fun time, and its all for a great cause.
Any questions feel free to email me at hpforheros@gmail.com

Now all is good, the reason for the date is so that my brother can be there since he will be home for a few days after boot camp.
I'll edit the post haha.
