I think I might've put my hazards on? Idk. I'll make sure to do it next time (if there is a next time) >_>;;

Do you use a radar detector?

Yes radar can be run while in motion and while stopped. They can also run it from their rear while moving. Meaning if you speed up behind them you can still get caught.

Most radars have been replaced by laser now though and your radar detector won't help you there.

I haven't used a radar detector in probably 4-5 years; Within that time frame I have yet to be pulled over. *knock on wood*

Laser speed measuring devices are also much more accurate. They can single a vehicle out of a group, unlike radar where they would have to have you alone or give evidence that you were pulling ahead of other vehicles etc.

Lasers usually need a flat surface to "bounce" off of though. So those with front licence plates are at a disadvantage because that's what they aim for. I have seen plate covers that are supposed to disperse the beam, therefore not giving the laser gun a reading. I'm not sure if they actually work though.

I've also seen that licenseplate cover, and also seen something I could spray the lights with, that's supposed to 'absorb' the laser.

But yeah..I think it's time to get that Valentine..

Yeah, I guess I didn't think he'd be watching me in particular. But driving a Z, I should've expected to be watched.

Because he's going to make me drive slow with his highway presence.

But I guess he wasn't such a loser since he only gave me a warning.

I could probably sell my current Radar detector for like..$80 to help with getting the new one.

MD shoots laser everywhere, radar detectors arent really worth it, even with laser jammers, you have very little time to react

Hm..maybe I got lucky, but I've never been pulled over because of a laser. However, the radar detector has saved my *** MANY times.

I'm also looking at Alternatives to the V1 like the Beltronics Rx65 or maybe even the STi Driver..but my main issue is having 360 degrees of protection.

I haven't had the need for any deterants...if I return to the states then Maybe I'll read up on what cops have first before buying an alarm that tells me "your about to get a ticket"

Lol

I've been saved by my Valentine on 83 in MD more than once. Police in PA can pace you on the highway and gauge your speed by theirs, its called VASCAR.
