Some ******* walked on my car last night and the paint is already chipped on one of the dents. Thinking about a carbon fiber replacement. Anyone know if this company's any good?

vis is known for bad fitment on the hoods. should try seibon.

also the Z hood doesnt really weigh much. the CF still looks cool.

Would it look gay if I painted over the CF to match the rest of the car?

Your car is already black, I'd just leave it CF.

 

I have the HR OEM VIS, fitment is 9+outta 10 imo.

 

I may just keep what I have and get an estimate on fix/repaint in the new year. Just hate wasting money on bullsh*t like this. I swear Laurel, MD is populated with nothing but loser white trash douchebags. This is the 2nd time I've been vandalized in this area.

 

ever consider doing an RS hood cut out, pins, paint and call it a day?

CF hood adds like 10 lbs to your car, unless it's a dry carbon hood (then you'll be paying 2k+) The only beneficial ones would be the ones w/ induction scoops for added cooling. OEM = Aluminum = BEST! Just fix what you have.

P.S. VIS fitment is fantastic, 9/10.
P.P.S. don't get a CF hood if your car is parked outside. It'll fade in a year. This goes for both Seibon and VIS products.

 

I looked at a few houses in Laurel and put an offer in on one. I drove around many neighborhoods and know the area pretty well.

The white people that live in Laurel can be trashy but white people are pretty few and far between. Lots of brown, lots of Hispanics and mostly Shins.

If you do get a CF hood get the HR one. it fits the DE's but gives the front a more aggressive look They sent me the wrong one when I got my seibon and I liked it more then the correct one so I just kept it.

 

O and laurel sucks...

I want to do the cut outs on my OEM hood. The Seibon CF one I had weighed as much as the stock one. They are both pretty light.
