[NSFW] Mid-A Epic Random-ness: Third Encounter
I've been busy all day and had some time for a quick **** with the iPad.
Reading quickly over this thread, something about running a train with a kid? Did that thread get deleted? I'm lost. I thought he was into big white girls of a different religion?

Alberto is still god since he has dirt on his iPhone. Still waiting for that to go public.
+1 on bringing back the nick mad linh angry thread, might as well merge it.

Jeff you missed shins awesome OT thread about the world ending. Was his attempt at making a joke thread, he got pooped on by a few people from the mid a who visit the OT section then deleted it, then posted his b!tchy posts seen here.

Slap on some hawk pads or other mid level pad, unless you plan on racing it soon? By racing it I mean the kind of racing you go left and right, not the nickel gas stomp and go.
A lot of people in the Subaru world buy from kns.

Scott just a random fact. Anything kns has chances are Subaru of Annapolis can get at the same or slightly lower price. It's worth calling over there and seeing what kind of prices Jackie can get for you, either store pick up on ship to home.
Subaru of Annapolis rocks. They even stock Motul oils. Hell if you need it one day for the Subaru they have stoptech rotors in stock.

stock pads work best for daily street driving, though I wouldn't recommend them if you're planning on tracking the car anytime soon as they'll get mushy after 2 hard laps.
Whatever you do, don't get Hawk HP+ pads. They don't brake in the rain. From my experience, anything advertised as "low dust" tends to not perform as efficiently as their dusty variants.
The pads that are advertised as "race/track pads" don't necessarily work as well in the streets as they need to be heated up before they start becoming effective.

I have a personal hatred towards hawk brake pads. Even though I could have won several hundred bucks from them for using there pads last year...I didn't. For pure street pads, the stoptech pads do a pretty good job. They are low dust, no noise, and last forever. They don't have as much initial bite as hawk, carbotech, etc however. I actually use them in autocross because I prefer to have lesser initial bite (it keeps me from scrubbing too much speed). Big bonus....they are also dirt cheap.
Carbotech: XP-12
Very good pad although they were done after a weekend.
Hawk: HPS
Good pad as well.
StopTech: Street Performance
I liked the StopTech's the best. They lasted the longest 2 HPDE weekends.
And surprisingly I used AUTOZONE pads one time at summit point. **my stoptech's didn't arrive in time for that HPDE** (desperate times called for desperate measures)
The AUTOZONE pads worked like a charm as well. Albeit they were done after 3.5 sessions though. They were able to stop from 120-130 down to about 60-65 every time.
My IS-F went to VIR with STOCK lexus pads and did surprisingly well. I replaced the STOCK lexus pads with Hawk HPS pads after the event. I will run a set of Hawk HPS's for my first track day in march next year.

I haven't tried the HPS. HP+ weren't enough once FI came into the picture.
I once tried a set of Nismo pads. No fawking joke I gave them a good bedding and they smoked more than any pad I've ever installed. After bedding did a few 140-60 slow downs. Went home, pulled out the pads and they were gone, very little pad left lol. Couldn't believe it. Had to be defective.
Waste of $80

I used hawk HPS last season, and they are still on the car this year, they held up surprisingly well hot lapping the 1320, and some long back road runs. I've heard mixed things about using them for HPDE's.
Its about time to get new pads and I am tempted to go back to carbotech, however I haven't tried the stoptech pads and may give those a shot
