I haven't spent money on an engine bolt-on in probably 3-4 years.

Less than 2 weeks ago. I didn't get $hit else Im out of the car game for a while. No desire to hang out with 5hins and nickels in parking lots.

Don't regret it thus far.

It's sad to see O.Gs and their cars leave the scene/forum but life happens. The more money I dump the less involved I want to be...

Meh at the end of the day a Z can be had for 10k... I don't wanna be categorized with street racing zit faced HS kids... I never had the chance to enjoy the scene but I'm happy to have a small group of ricers I call friends.

40k in deep, this car isn't worth 14k used... no matter how baller the parts on the beesh

Marco, your car is worth at least $17,000 IF you can find someone who has money.

Kyle, I think it was Tanabe springs, stock? maybe tanabe struts? I can't remember, camber arms for fixing the alignment, maybe bushings? I did this stuff like 7 years ago.

Nickels, I didn't see your thread or any videos in it, I'm guessing your response to my
he ran slower after mods
was you doing a nickel run down the highway from what others have said on here. If that's the case, once again you are you. Legit track times get thrown out because you're able to mash the auto Z's gas pedal from a roll, did you really take a video of you holding the camera while slowly waiting for the Z to hit 145mph? At least mount the camera if that's the case.

My philosophy is as long as I am enjoying the car it's all good, the day owning/ driving it no longer does anything for me is the day it goes up for sale. The value of the car and what demographic happens to be buying it doesn't bother me as much.

As for meets I don't really go to those anymore with the exception of the Thursday G meet in Rockville , where it is a much older crowd and pretty enjoyable. Also the Kate's coffee meet is nice as well (much older crowd again)

A lot of the OG's may have moved on but many of them are still ricers at heart, some of them will probably rice it up in the future on different platforms (some of them already have ha)

Gotta give Marco some Vietnamese coffee.

Zain Kate's coffee? Where's that.

I was hoping to get out with Alberto and the guys for a ride today but this morning had some family members nickel us so that idea got canned, kind of glad since I went out this morning on my own for a 9 mile ride. I really need to get more gear, legs hands and ears were friggin cold, body was ok but when I got home I noticed I was fully soaked through all the layers.

If I went with Alberto for a 12-13-14-15 mile ride... I don't think it would have ended well.

Zain any news on your healing?

Turns out that Circuit of the Americas is a bunch of *******s. They screwed over all the groups that scheduled HPDE/Club events and cancelled ALL their events for 2013. This place was charging 50k a day for rentals, which is far and away the most expensive track in the U.S. Cashed everyone's check and told them to f__k off. My guess is they will be smart and not cancel the SCCA club events. They need SCCA members to work the course during the pro races. That would be a pretty big error on their part IMO if they did. The backlash hath begun, though.

WOW. $50k is crazy expensive for a track rental!
