Meh, test pipes are still one of the best mods n/a for vq's . That being said CEL and emissions becomes a pain, if you are ok with that then go for the test pipes

The tune from Hills seems to be good for 15-20whp. Its about $690-700. Seems like a good bang for the buck.

15-20 sounds a bit high, maybe with supporting mods..

. I know for a while a bunch of HR guys were looking at long tube headers, Kyle you may want to research that to see what came of it, not sure if it would really be worth it over test pipes though

I would just use that money towards tires but that's just me...

That or a new bumper

Kyle motordyne's art v2 pipes don't get CEL lights but aren't worth 500+doll hairs imo...

I thought about it, my lease is up in February so I'll wait til then to get my starting issue fixed instead of dumping more money for tune+new software...

Even if test pipes add a 10 whp gain I just don't see it worth it. Learning how to drive would add to your car more than that. Look at nickels, he mods his car and runs slower.

IMO unless you are going to see a 100+whp gain, i wouldn't deal with check engine lights, or even just the cost of all the mods at least not before you upgrade your suspension first.

My Z in stock form was meh, with suspension stuff done the car became fun.

Before I went back to stock I had Berk HFC (w/CEL but fixed them with non-foulers) XO2 exhaust, Injen CAI and tune on uprev. I was at 298whp (hot as fawk that day) so close to my goal of 300+ this time I was thinking about doing TP since I did HFC last time but I don't want to deal with emissions BS. As far as the headers I remember someone doing stiller headers with a tune and it was an extra 3-5whp. As of right now I still have the tune on my ECU and Injen Intake.

No CEL=pass emissions, in MD.

Just get the non foulers for the test pipes too...

So let me get this straight..... You drove your Z, on a public road, holding a camera phone, taking a video, at a 145 mph?..... Youre an idiot. I hope you lose your license.

I don't think that is a good deal. The software from uprev costs $300 as well. Plus the fee for getting it tuned to your cars spec's. I paid around $600 for the software, license and tune.

@Shin - do the non-foulers actuall fix the CEL for TP? I have read some still have the issue even after using the non fouler fix. If I where to buy TP I think I would do motordyne ART pipes.
