Id be interested to see how the driver mod helps out Mike. Have you noticed a difference yet?

60lb weight reduction should help right?

A couple pages back you said youve lost about 65 pounds. I was wondering if you could see any difference in the car or is that too little in the grand scheme of things?

Don't know. Aside from some testing about 5 weeks ago, the car hasn't run since early September.

What size? Mine are CCW Classics race version (full swiss, not cut for centercaps, Ti hardware, and reverse mounted). 18x11 up front 18x12 in back. Car goes up for aero in a few weeks as well. Rear two piece rotors for the brembo calipers will be here today. Hoping with 1g of gas in the tank the car is around 2900lb w/o driver. Still full interior sans radio/ac.
Nothing nearly as awesome as yours. 19x8.5/10. These will be my new DD wheels (8th set in the past 5 years; its sad thinking about it now). I have yet to destroy the NT01 on 17" I got last year. I hope to upgrade to 18" hooisers next season.

Mike. How in the hell did you get the car down to 2900lbs? Do you have a thread on this?

I approve RE11s me and Marco and Bao(only on the front at this point) all have re11s deff a good tire
RE-11 are pretty nice but sidewalls are rather hard. I am daily driving them right now but I want a little more comfort. I've had DW, Ultrac Sessanta, Michellin A/S all the same size on the Z but never was happy with them. DW were too soft. Ultrac Sessanta didn't communicate enough, and A/S are all seasons (enough said). I am hoping the Pilot Super Sports will do the trick. Looking for anybody that has driven on those tires.

Miss my stock block FI setup. 380whp @ 3125lbs was perfect for most things not too overwhelming.
I need some boost . I've always enjoyed your journeys. Keep up the great work.

No thread

Weight savings:
No AC
No Radio or Speakers
2 piece rotors on all 4
Light wheels
Tiny Kirkey aluminum pass seat (bolted to the floor) (weighs about 10-11lbs)
Recaro Profi Drivers Seat
Sparco wheel
Tomei headers
Test-pipes w/short exhaust (exhaust not done yet)
Aluminum bodied Moton shocks
No rear sway bar or mounting hardware
Smaller springs (both shorter and less ID than stock)

That's about it....keeping in mind we run the car nearly empty on gas and that the car is an 03.

vtchang: Dunlop Direzza ZII's. I have the Z1's and they're amazing. A lot cheaper than the RE-11's with comparable cornering capability.

Corner exit grip. Helps load the tire without the bar and allows the rear of the car to actually be independent.

I think a lot of people who track / autox hard core dont run a rear sway. I was reading that on a suspension thread on the subaru forum. Seems its useful up until you get a certain set up.

I would like to know what to do with them?

I want to install the quick release and short hub by myself but could not figure out what they are for?

Wheels sound nice Mike, quite baller

I am slowly amassing a pile of parts that need to be installed lol (built 3:73 diff, Pfadt sway bar package, brake pads/rotors) all sitting in the garage and I am also debating between RE-11's and Pilot super sports, both have good reviews but the Re-11's are 2-3 pounds heavier than most other tires and are a bit harder

but at the moment I have been slowly ricing out the beater, and sadly its kind of fun ha

If your ricing out the BMW then when you get that evoX what do you think is going to happen.

I aplogize for not getting back to you, I tried to renew my PM and paypal wants me to link my checking acct w/them to approve the payment...

So, to the best of my memory:

A.) Connector for the horn
B.)2.2ohm resistors for the airbags, it is crucial that you use them or your srs airbag will stay on, once its on I dont think you can disable it...
C.) Spacer or metal concetor for the hub/steering wheel/could possibly be for ground... can't remember...
D. Some kind of spacer/plastic ring for the hub, you might not need it...

^^^I'm free tomorrow if you want me to look at it, just msg me here

lol the BMW is getting actual rice mods, not real/meaningful mods , so not worried, plus I would like to get an evo with a warranty, so even less incentive to mod.

difference is I could scrap the BMW tomorrow and could care less, so its getting all the BS cosmetic cheap *** rice crap hahah

Originally I had planned on doing Forgeline GA1R's or GA3R's, but they were almost $3700 with shipping, which was considerable more than CCW's. The race versions aren't listed on CCW's site, but if you call they still have them. Best of all they are about $300 cheaper than the "street" version.

Do you have 18's or 19's on the vette?
