Definitely sucked man. After the detective called and said the case was moving to internals affairs they never called me for again. Crazy stuff. I think I know who was in on it.

Dumb question I know, but I'm asking anyways for help. When we do the 02 sensor 'mod' to run test pipes do they need periodic replacing? My CEL keeps going off and my code reader says "P1274 [A/F Sensor 1]".
I had my A/F sensors replaced and while everything was still under warranty NISSAN checked it out and said they couldn't figure out what the problem was.
Now my CEL is on again and today I smelled a really strong burning odor after parking.

I'd rather not just clear the CEL if something's actually wrong but not sure to take it back to NISSAN if they couldn't find the issue to begin with.

Any thoughts on what I should do???

BTW, I never got the engine tuned after adding my basic bolt ons, could this be causing it???

 

Well what mod did you do? If you did the non-fouler mod I've never heard of it going bad.
The worst thing I've heard of is people having to get new ECUs because the codes won't turn off. 1400 fixes suck...

And to the fake rims above, I saw a guy selling some "volks" the other week and emailed him to see all of the markings to make sure they were legit... Let's just say he never emailed me back.

 

The standard non-fouler plugs. They've never been an issue before and not sure why that code is showing. I just didn't want to simply clear it if there's a legitimate problem that might potentially harm the engine.

 

If you know the code its safe to clear it, all the code does is show you the code. I don't believe there is a way to dig any deeper then the actual code. So if you clear it and it shows up again you know there is an issue.

 

Yeah, that's the issue. I've cleared it and it popped up again. And then when it warmed up a few days ago it disappeared and now it's back again. When the dealer gives you the what's the next step??

 

Does it drive the same, any wierd issues other then CEL? Check your fluids and maybe clean the O2 sensor.

 

No issues other than the burning odor this morning.

 

Take it to Hills or something.... The dealer saying is a cop out
