I don't expect them to be the greatest ones out there. From the reviews I feel these will suit my needs. I still DD the car so not looking for the stiffest coils, I do plan to attend track days so for the occasional weekend warrior i feel these will do just fine. Maybe even the KW V1's will be a better option but again I don't expect them to be the best.

Just buy the cheap coilovers, you just want a basic upgrade with the option to adjust height and ride quality, you will never use those features but knowing you can, will give you piece of mind. A basic strut/spring upgrade will be a much better bang for your buck, less money and much better performance. However more is less, just spend more and be happy since you already made up your mind.

Is that what you wanted to hear?

If you haven't tracked your car already, you probably never will. Older = more $hit to do = less time worrying about these fawking cars.

Just getting everyone's opinions, I wanted to hear specifics on why is all. I ordered the BC (sorry Mike) and I will find out for certain if it is crap or not, can only learn through trial and error. From all the reviews I read on the BC BR coils the only negative I read was they were "under-dampened" but that was from only one guy and many others who where looking for the same application as me thought they were great. As I remember riding in Barn's car when he had his I thought the comfort and handling was excellent. So once I get them I will let all of you know my opinions on them.

No doubt you will like them since you are going from stock.

Let me know when you want a ride in the subi.

I think it was more or a where the f has that half buffalo half pepperoni jalapeño and bacon guy been?

Also hoping to do a dump run, oil change in the trailblazer, clean the subi, vacuum the house, cut the grass, also need to bleed the Suzuki and trailblazer brakes but might save that for next week.

As with going riding.

I change ride height and adjust rake (f/r bias) all the time, depending on surface, weather, etc...

I have a lift and alignment machine at my disposal, so adjusting height won't be that big of an issue for me....not sure if I said that already?

what day is it?

You just said it yourself... you plan to attend track days. The BC Coilovers will be basically garage on the track. And it's uncomfortable as hell for DD. So it sounds like lose-lose there. If you really want something that'd be good for both DD and track, pony up a few hundreds extra and get some Bilstein PSS9. It's got a patterned dual springs design that fit both needs.

Have you personally driven a car with them installed?

After reading these reviews below + riding in Barns car with them installed I personally thought they felt comfortable and it seems like they are design to do exactly what I was looking for.

^^^within this thread you will find several other reviews from people who have bought them; all with the same positive feedback

I've been reading the suspension 101 thread for a few days now. I'm still learning about toe, cast, camber. Currently learning about ride hieght, and coil over design. I need to do more research on spring rate and feedback on product quality.

I have the fortune-auto series 500 gen. 4 coil overs in mind:

http://www.fortune-auto.com/fortune5...scoilovers.htm

  • They're within my budget
  • Made in the USA/better service for rebuild
  • I'm getting a discount price through Atlantic motorsports/they're partners w/F.A
  • They'll throw in the swift spring upgrade for free, plus discount on installation...

I still need to learn more about suspension before I bust out teh C.C.

On a side note, Im gonna go look at some bipods up for my M-4 tomorrow. A friend of mine is good friend w/ a guy @ Atlantic Guns in Silver Spring, MD. Another buddy of mine in TN. can get optics at dealer price, so the A-Cog will be on the mod list soon...

While most fortune auto are assembled in VA, the parts within are the standard chinese/taiwanese stuff you get with most other (stance, bc, etc)....
