He's from Canada. Kamloops anyone? He registered yesterday, the same day goldcltype-s got busted. Since he's been here, he's posted 20 times, 15 today, 5 yesterday. He claims to own a car that could actually beat the Z. Just do a name search and you see that he comes across with a tone similar to goldcltype-s. And, the first post he creates is about the Z losing to his buddies riced out Cavalier.

Heh. Well, it's a free forum. Let's see how long before he gets moderator attention.

acctually a 6mt CL-S with the basic bolt ons has beaten a G35c pretty convincingly 3 runs at a track...a board mate over at acura-cl called Dr.Rick....now dont get me wrong i absouletly love the G35c...i mean love....but id guess there's limited after market support for you yet and a cl 6 speed will win in a straight line accel. race more time than it loses(with headers and intake tires wouldnt hurt)....

to bri guy ...i did trap 102 on a couple of occasions but 101 has my best ET. also a 5at cl-S goes 113 in third not that 3 mph's is a big deal....

TypeR, who at acl.com beat him? Were they running headers? I'm supposed to race Lou (who drives a CLS 6spd) with my 350 this spring, and i'm curious what will happen..he's getting headers etc. Are your the 3.5 liter CLS TypeR btw?

will i ever live this damn race down? it was actually in my GS400 and the guy (scalbert) had a hella strong CL-S 6. when we went to the dyno back in dec, he was putting down around 250 at the wheels. of the 3 runs, he was about 2 to 3 tenths faster (although, i won one race due to RT). his best was a high 14.3 to my low 14.6. i havent had a chance to run him in my G coupe. and that seems unlikely now that i am in texas and he is still in austin. damn........

please dont sleep on the modded CL-S, especially the 6 speed. they can be made to be pretty quick with the headers and exhaust. the intake has been shown (by scalbert at the dyno) not to do much. but i dont really think that they can take out a Z. oh and i miss typed.....scalbert is in atlanta, not austin........

Don't get me wrong...I don't think that running a 6-speed CL-S is by any means any "easy run", but like you said a well driven 350 should take out a CL-S 6M.

I was simply pointing out that TypeR was attempting to decieve a little with his post.

no big deal man. honest mistake, since i posted over there with the GS and the G. and no, it was green (see sig) but the camera made it look black. to tell the truth, i dint think that any CL-S could take out the Grinch. but, they can be strong if done right. right now, im waiting on some things to come out for the coupe so i can start the process all over again......

typeR- nice times with the CLS. How did you increase displacement, was it with an aftermarket stroker kit or factory part swapping? Did you bump up CR or anything? My cousin has a CLS six speed, nice car.

it was a kit(not sure if it can still be purchased) using the bottom end of an MDX or in my case oddessey bump in CR from 10.5 to 10.85 im not 100% on the details because it was bought as a fully esmbled short block which my dealer bolted in...
