as much as I love this car, 12.4 is pretty much impossible at this stage without a chevy v-8 transplant.

my friend did a charger install on his golf VR6 and the first time on the dyno it pulled somewhere around 60 HP. After some adjustments it then pulled 245HP. If you actually lost HP you should probably work on tuning a bit. Of course if your reply was scarcastic then ignore this reply.

here's a site with a lot of good cheap mods. Piston return springs, crossdrilled brake lines etc.

Hehe...crossdrilled brake lines.

Aren't those the ones that allow for superior fluid flow so you can press the pedal all the way to floor much more quickly, thereby reducing your stopping distances?

That's my next mod!

Let's not forget Type R stickers, which everyone knows add 20-30HP.

Ya know a supercharger is basically just a fancy INTAKE.

(yes really simplified, Catch the humor in this comment)

I knew a kid once that had a Jeep wrangler he told me he spent some odd thousand dollars on a supercharger for it. So I just kinda took his word for it and one day we popped the hood. No supercharger, Just one of those K&N filter chargers. I looked straight at him and told him. "hey there's not supercharger here". He looked kinda dazed and confused. He went as far as pulling out the receipts, and they did infact say SUPERCHARGER on them at $3400 or something like that. So he called the place and they actually told him that the supercharger ran free of the intake system by running off the flywheel gear and pumping the air into the combustion chamber though the cooling system so it was completely unseen. I just about hit my head up aginst a wall when he told me what they said. After spending hours explaining to him how that was IMPOSSIBLE I had finally convince him that they were wrong. A week later he through a rod in the jeep and as far as I know nothing ever came of it. But apparently the shop that did this was some mopar shop in tampa area. Go fig.

However, I did recently race a newish model TA from a second gear start (he started in 1st) and it was neck and neck. And to add to that the TA has like 2.2 more liters of displacement. Stock against stock, this would be a close race and the Z would finish in style, win or lose. F-body cars are cheap and quick, that's it. I wonder why they don't make them anymore....hum, could it be they are a dated platform that was canned because their performance was based on technology that came about when God was a boy??? Just a guess. Enjoy your car as those GM parts start falling off at 40k, and pass this along to your redneck buddies over at LS1.com .
Wow, i'm impressed, what do u think u freaking drive, a ferrari???
U were neck and neck with the TA cause he couldnt drive for ****, he should be and is a secong faster than u in the 1/4. As for my parts falling off, we'll see...I'm gonna be in 11s next month(N/A), and u cant do that even with a supercharger. Ur car is nothing special, its nice cause its new, new style, in a year it will just be another nissan on the street. Oh while we are at it, we might as well say u drive a pevgeot(sp.?) U know the bigest pieces of crap in europe, trust me i know i've been there. Oh yeah race another TA with a driver that can drive, and tell me what happened...Freaking moron!

I don't get it what is the point in bashing on other peoples rides??? So, what you don't like GM... big deal. Doesn't mean you should be jerk and start ripping on someones car, and calling the owners rednecks.

Alright I don't own a Z but I take offense to the Peugeot comment. I rented a 406 coupe when I was in england and it is to date one of the best cars I've ever rented. Oh and not to mention Peugeots 2 world rally titles in the past 3 years.
