Who here has Dynoed this bad boy. I am curious. I just saw evo #'s and was very impressed. I am curious in the rwh and torque. If anyone has pics that would be great.

[DISCLAIMER] Plz don't come to this thread and crap on the evo I buy cars for performance looks are important but not that important.

If done in the right gear (5th w/ a 1:1 ratio), ~244rwhp is common, and the torque is ~238-240rwtq...

At 1400 miles, here is my baseline run. I will do one more on Saturday the 22nd (testing this "ECU unlock rumor")

I will also Dyno again next weekend to test the Stillen Exhaust coming in next week.

Max power is 232.3
Max Torque is 226.1

I put down 246.74 RWHP on Saturday at 11,700 miles a difference of 14 horsepower....not the best comparison because it was 71.01 degress vs. 97.85 degrees.

I was glad to see a gain, but it remains to be seen if it was all condition based. The tech working the Dyno said the only 350's he had seen that day that hit over 240 had higher mileage, ~9k+

take it for what it is worth.....I'll post again after the Stillen exhaust goes on....

256 rwhp and 244 rwt on a Dynapack hub dyno.

Sakred got 258 rwhp on the same exact dyno with the filter. He got 264 rwhp, I think, without the filter.

Dynapack hub dynos normally read about 8-10 rwhp higher.

Do a search if you'd like to see the post on my dyno report.

I agree, what's that all about? Why would you want to invest in an aftermarket exhaust system that actually takes power away??

TR Mach, How do you like your Mach 1? Do you have any pictures of it? They sound like a pretty sweet car.

That Dyno with the exhaust was from SCC when they tested the Z before it was available to the public. They had a porshce tuner hack together something in a day or two just to see how the stock exhaust did. I think all they did was replace the muffler. In the article they had some good pictures from underneath the car and showed that most likely the biggest gains would be had by replacing the stock Y-pipe, which (from their pics, I've never seen it in person) looks like a sheetmetal canister with pretty crappy flow characteristics. Now that the cars have been out for a while, it looks like the exhausts that actually do replace the Y-pipe are able to get some good HP improvements, but I've yet to see an actual user's dyno.

SCC also dyno'd the Z with 100 octane and were able to gain a few HP. Although in the long run, switching to 100 octane @ $5.00 per gallon will be an expensive "mod"...

Man this is weird, I expected more? How much do your cars weigh? I have seen the times and I am impressed, but my buddies stock 01 GT dynoed 236RWHP and 281RWTQ, and it weighed in at 3203, I know the Z is a little faster, but why?? It weights more puts out about the same HP, and about 50 tq more, I guess I don't get it? Is there somthing I don't know?

GT's have nice torque curves!!! That is why they are as fast as they are, but my buddies GT had the spare and jack removed to save weight, not much but some?

Just wondering what made such a big difference between the first and second run.
Thanks.
