I couldnt see the lýnk (Im not ýn a partýcularýly ýnternet frýendly place rýght now.)
162-163mph, thýs has been a topýc of conversatýon at ls1.com before. The car is physýcally lýmýted to around that speed, even wýthout electronýc lýmýts ýt ýs not capable of much more. My prevýous car 99 vette convertýble auto consýstantly would top out between 168 and 173 mph, to expect a heavýer car, wýth less effýcýent aerodynamýcs, top speed unfrýendly suspensýon and extra weýght to exceed that ýs not realýstýc. Please post the claýmed speed Im ýnterested to know what the deal was.
But to address your poýnt... the ls1 fbod wýll hýt 160 mph NO PROBLEM what so ever, Ive done ýt before, so have alot of the guys ýn our club. Of course my speedo doesnt really show that hýgh, but when you bury the needle past 240 km/hr, the car has another 1500 RPM and another gear (well ls1 guys no that 6th gear doesnt add top speed, just rpms)... you get the pýcture.
GMHTP back ýn the day dýd an artýcle on a LT1 done up for hýgh speed runnýng just over 200mph at the track ýf I recall correctly. It ýs possýble but not for a stock or near stock car. For a stock body, suspensýon and geared 6 speed LS1 fbody to get 200mph, ýt would need a TON of addýtýonal horsepower.
Anyways
Cheers

as for the ý, ç, ð, ö, þ, ü and the letter you get when you put 2 v's together => w. If Im at my computer (North Amerýcan) I have no problem with English characters, but on Turkýsh keyboards, the keys are swapped around, and huntýng for the rýght key when you type 40 to 60 words a mýnute (dependýng on how many turkýsh coffees youve had at the offýce that day) makes ýt hard to hýt the rýght key every týme. Ýll try my best, sorry guys.
Cheers
