The guys that filmed this should be embarrased. Is this what kids these days think racing is? I mean drag racing from light to light at least takes a little skill, true racing is on a roadcourse, but my grandfather can stomp on the gas on the freeway just as well as these guys.

What a joke. Not to mention that was the most boring video ever.

just making sure you guys know this guy is here simply to stir up ****, just ignore the idiot. This is his post on the Supra forums:

oh btw the video was posted on My350Z.com and it seems to have ruffled at least one owner's feathers already. 350Z forum thread

I think its funny that they even have to add this note as a sticky at the beginning of their racing forum:
"For the first time in a long time, I have to agree with some of the non-350Z owners in the Racing forum. A lot of the 350Z owners are trolling in their own territory, and it's giving 350Z owners a bad reputation. I see a lot of the comments, and some people need to pull their head out of their *** and realize that our car isn't the best in the world. Sure, there's always going to be a natural fudge factor between the two "factions", that's the nature of the message board world. However, the situation has escalated to the point of absurdity at times, and the entire 350Z community is on the verge of making a fool of themselves."

"confucious say man who brag about car must be hiding small *****"

geez, exactly why i posted that quote on supraforums. i find many of you guys rude and extremely defensive about your cars, perfectly justifying the need for that sticky at the top of this forum. in that first reply he just had to say that this video was the most boring video ever and that highway racing takes no skill. granted its not that hard to do a roll on race but the way he reacted was just the defensive reaction I and many of my friends have noticed when i show them this forum. i posted what i did on supraforums after the first rude reply and the ignorance carried with it. i didnt mean for it to **** anyone off but that fact that it did with the very first reply is funny. its just a simple comparison of speed nothing more nothing less. i'm not bragging that the supra is faster or ultimately a better car, in fact i respect the Z so much that I considered it as a viable option when I was car shopping recently. I did not intend for this thread to have any malicious intent. In fact I'm a little disappointed in the maturity level of this forum, I thought Z owners were older and more mature, I guess not. And I see no reason why the guys that made this film should be embarrassed nor do I find it necessary for you to call me an idiot. Sorry to cause any trouble here...

Hey guys,

I'm the 350z in the video.....
I'm alittle pissed off right now that i just now looked at this thread and seeing that he's talking **** about me.

The first race we did i got a Excellent jump and held him off for alittle bit till he reached boost.
Yeah he's faster he put 459 to the ground what does he expect?
Soon as power enterprises kit is out his *** is getting spanked.
Weird i thought we were cool. Funny how people will talk **** behind your back

And this kid won't race on a roadcourse. He's afraid he'll loose control. I mean damn i may be 20 but i got my car on my own no co-signer and no down payment.
This kid had to have Grandma fork down the cash for his down payment on this car. Not to mention he's on stock fuel system. and it's tuned like ****. and he's got boost spike going on. his flywheel has a real bad chatter problem. sounds like it's going to blow up. I'm at a buddies house now so i can't post to the supra forums but if any of you guys wanna post my comments there feel free. I'm going to call him tomorrow and say whats the deal? He shouldn't have wasted his gas on me? I'M A STOCK NATURALLY ASPIRATED V-6 !!!!!!!

I don't get it. You guys have nice looking cars, but why do you keep insisting they're fast? Its just a souped up maxima engine. Stock for stock the supra would still win...By the time they mod to single turbos the game's over. Modding potential of engines are totally different also. The VQ can never handle any kind of high boost level cause its not an iron cast engine.

Not trying to start ****...But 14.1 1/4 miles is just average now a days.

Were not saying it's the fastest car in the world. But if we have such a ego problem what about all the damned Supra owners that think they're gods gift to the car world? Supra's are bad but i cannot stand their owners. a VQ will never be able to handle the power a Supra can. But the VQ was designed for a different purpose. Funny how a souped up Maxima engine could take the supra till he got peak boost huh? Watch the video and listen to the Honks. On the third honk i punched it. Not my fault he can't drive. and on the second race i was playing around and didn't go for a good launch. I got my *** handed to me i don't care. But to talk **** about it like that?? then act cool about it to my face. Give me a stock supra and i bet you i can give it a damn good run for it's money. See'ing as how i've already been dead even with lightly modded 3rd gen RX-7's.

This is because supra engines have low compression ratios cause they were built for boost. Thats why you're even with it till the turbos kick in. So I guess it isn't that big of a surprise.

I do wanna see a turbo 350 run a single supra though. I'm considering both as car options within the next 6-8 months, so I'd like to find out how they compare.

haha. I never even said a word about it being a Supra or a 350z, stop trying to find a fight where there is no fight. It's funny how people freak out when you are not even attacking them. The whole world knows Supras can and do put down astronomical power. Every person at this forum respects their power. I find it funny that you are so defensive that you see "us" as acting out towards you guys just by looking at you funny, so to speak. I think it's hard for some people to realize how we could still like 350z's, even though Supras and many other cars are faster than them, and they translate that liking our cars to thinking we are somehow better.

Show me where I called you an idiot Orion. Can someone tell me if I'm losing my mind and I really did attack the poster? If you had posted that and it was a Ferrari F40 and a Porsche 911 turbo I'd still laugh, because I think a video of freeway racing is silly. That is my personal opinion, has nothing to do with the cars in the video.

Relax man, nobody is attacking you. If you are just trying to stir sh** up, well, it's not gonna work because nobody here hates Supras, or anybody's choice of ride for that matter.

Have a good one.

its not you talking $hit...zeroday said idiot and had the little confucious quote about bragging, thats what I was referring to. i only referred to your post to justify why I was NOT in fact trying to stir $hit up but that I merely thought it was funny that you reacted in such a way. as much as i try to not start a fight everyone seems to think I am..what the hell am I doing wrong? all i tried to do was post a ****ing video jesus christ people.

i give up on this damn forum

Don't give up, we both understand each other now You are certainly welcome here, sorry if I came across as being harsh, and sorry for interpreting you as coming across harsh.

So now I have a Supra question. It seems like 90% of the Supras I see here in Austin are tricked way out. Are most of the Supra owners these days bigtime enthusiasts and very few people who just "have" a basic stock model? Seems like everyone I see is modded to hell and looking sweet, very few stock looking ones.

Orion, i'm a car enthusiast, not a z enthusiast. I'm on about 6 different automotive message boards, several non Z related. I posted what I did because I see these types of posts all the time. Your post here was not offensive to me at all, but when I went to visit the supra forums via the link you posted, it became clear to me why you posted it. You speak of an attitude on the part of Z drivers...well in some cases this is true, just like any car out there...they don't screen for ******** at the dealership. I love supras but it seems just as many supra owners are dicks too.

Sorry about the idiot and confucious comment. Your post on the supra board offended me because it appeared you were fishing for negative responses over here. On a side note, I don't much like or condone street racing as shown in this video at all. A guy on the rs-x forums died a few days ago because of it, and hes not the first. It's just not worth it.

i'm glad things are cleared up too. to answer your question...Austin is a hotbed for modded supras, especially high horsepower single turbo ones. but i guess in general it is a rare occassion to find a completely stock supra..

In my opinion all can I said to this mesh is, "Only time will tell" give a Z at least one year and you will see the Z in the 600+ whp range... Trust me!

P.S. everybody is welcome in here, Z owners or not.

that first response WAS kind of negative. he should have been more friendly about it, but at least there was an apology. it was also the poster's fault for trying to fish for negative feedback, and it was unfair to silth for them talkin behind his back. guy, just grow up, the poster was simply showing the vid of the race not trying to **** anyone off........ btw it isnt really dangerous if conditions are right, just look at my sig.

Many uncertainties here. If TT 350Z and a single T supra were to race with equal drivers, I would still go with the Supra for many reasons. 1. You average single turbo kit on Supras makes 650rwhp, step up to a bigger turbo, mid 700's at the wheels and so on. 2. The supra has be tried and tested.....the car is very overbuilt and all of the driveline parts and engine parts have been proven to handle the abuse for a while before going out. 3. We are not really sure how the 350Z will respond to boost or how much stock internals can take. My educated guess would be about 10psi max and that would be pushing it. Then again, it is still a guess. Now, the general rule of thumb for increased power from boost is half of your hp increases with every 7psi(or half ordinary atmospheric pressure). So, say a 350z makes 250whp stock. That means on 7psi it will roughly(and I emphasize roughtly) make ~370whp. So, you looking at having to boost in the high teens to make 6XXwhp to be able to give you enough to take a Single T supra. This would almost definitely require built internals, but like I said, people have pulled off these boost levels before on engines not built for boost. Turbos, IC(s), fuel, and tune all depend on the power the car will actually make. With all this said, the 350z is an exceptional sports car. Quick, nice handling, good looks, good braking.....it does everything very well and for the price it can't be beat.

ok, this is kind of a dumb question. I don't really know much about the last 300ZXTT, but wasn't that basically the same engine that we have now on the 350Z? How does that engine hold w/extra boost, and how much hp gain can you get with it? Just wondering if it is comparible with our engine.

The ZX engine was a 3.0 while yours is a 3.5......I don't know much about either car, but I am under the impression that the 3.5 resembles the 3.0TT engine of the ZX very little
