Trying to find info on some racing in Dallas
I really want to get into some AutoXing this year, now that I have a car that would make it fun and interesting. I'm getting tired of the straight lines and ovals.
So if anyone has any dates or even links you know if that I can find some dates, I would really appreciate it.
BTW--I did a search and came up with zilch.

Well you are a lucky guy, cuz there is an event in your area this Sunday in Bedford at Pennington Field. The website for the SCCA Texas Region (or more specifically, their SOLO II page) is:
http://autocross.com/texasregion/
Check out the 2003 calendar on the right side of the page.
Have fun!!

Autox is fun, but real road racing is a lot better!
Check out The Driver's Edge for events at The Motorsports Ranch near Fort Worth and Texas World Speedway in College Station.

Also, in the Texas Regional forum is a link to an event coming up at Texas World Speedway in College Station. Mostly a honda event, but looks like a lot of Z-car owners are signing up.
Hope that helps.

But thanks for the link, I'll be sure to check it out. For some reason, it sounds familiar, but I can't remember why!?!?

Ooops...no wonder I'm divorced!
Well, congrats!
And also, GIG'M...Class of '88. If you do get in to the racing and back down at B-CS, hook up with the Texas A&M Sports Car Club. They run some nice events out at the Annex. Also, I think they still hold AggieCross at TWS...which is a SOLO I style event (one car on the track at a time).
i plan to go to texas world speedway sometime during the summer. my friend goes with this one group of many different cars (he drives a bmw 330ci) and last time i went there were vipers, ferraris, porsches, wrx, s2000, miatas. all sorts of different cars. it was interesting, and also a blast to be able to sit in different cars. the group that i went with allows a passenger as long as that person has a helmet.
Trending Topics
There is a LOT of racing in DFW.
As mentioned, SCCA puts on a number of events. Here are some other links:
Equipe Rapide autox
BMW club autox
BMW club track events (these are my favorite)
Porsche club
NASA track events
I will be at almost all SCCA/ER autox the rest of the year, and will probably make one or two TDE events at MSR later this year. I spent last weekend at MSR playing with the BMW club
My number at autox is "SM 1", though the car may also have a 7 on it as that is my co-drivers number.

Christi, Brad and I are planning on attending the Driver's Edge DE next month at MSR. I'm already registered and Brad "says" he's going to send his registration in on Monday.
