Here is a vid of my RSX Type S chasing a m3 e36, the guy downshift 1st and fly by us. Thinking it's a easy kill but found out that this RSX had more then just good look. We pass him up on top end. But from the vid you can see that we was slowly pulling on him. But I gotta give the m3 guy credit he manage to fly by us again after we let off the gas going around 130. LOL! Sorry stop taping after we pass him up. Please don't try this at home!

correction, now the this rsx run 14.18 @ 100.1 mph just post up the vid on the the site. But sorry if it the site is down do to bandwidth. But please try again. You will be suprise to see that this 2 lilter honda can do pretty good on the q/t. next vid i will do is w/ the z. Hopefully it will the i little better.

I don't want to call ******** to quickly, but that video looks so staged there is no way you could pull that quickly on a M3 unless they weren't really racing you.

I ran a souped up (Intake/Catback) RSX type S once on the freeway...not bad for a NA 2.0 4 clyinder, his ride was pretty quick.. but he still got walked.

3rd M3's are fast, but that doesn't make the RSX slow

I don't think it was staged, but it is obvious to me that his goal was to do a "drive bye" and then ease up.

My little bro has a RSX-R and my dad had a E36, NO way in hell you catch a E36 that fast (esp at freeway speeds) if he knows you are racing.

i agree.. my friend has an E36 M3 (check my sig)... he's smokin RSX's/integs/civics/Mustang GT/RX-7 Turbo... not to downplay you or anything.. but.. personally... looks like the guy wasn't really trying

hey this is the driver of the rsx. it's funny when a underdog will give a big dog a run for it's money, people hate to believe it. i don't know what's wrong with u people, i have it on video, my car runs 14.1 on the 1/4, but you guys still don't believe it? i don't know what it would take cause a M3 will never lose right? or a 350z will never lose right? or a s2000 will always whoop a rsx type-s right? i also noticed everytime people with a car post they beat this car, other people will always assume it's the lowest model (IE: auto m3). now tell me, if he wasn't racing, why would we up to speeds of over 130mph you guys are right and im wrong, im slow, that video is fake cause you guys want it to be fake, a $30,000 m3 is super fast and im real slow. some of you guys need to take your heads out of your *** real quick and realize, a m3 is not the fastest thing in the world. just my 2 cents (and want to say this shouldn't reflect on mrrsx350z, this is not his opinion on the matter)

also the thing about the "drive BY" you guys weren't there. he was speeding already so i decided to pass him up and see if he wanna race. if you look at the first couple seconds of the video, you'll see him in the first frame, and you see me pass him up a little and change lane into his lane. which obviously provoked him enough to downshift and go to the left, then you see me downshift. either way, im not saying i won, but he knows i would have whooped his *** if he had kept going.

ok rodH where is your dad time slip and video. I bet he can't even run pass mid 14. Show me any video or time slip of a stock m3 running close to a 14.1. Beside what you see in mag, and tv car show review. Becuz those guy can run those time that doesn't mean your dad can too. you don't even got proof and if he did beat one it might have been stock or better yet base model! and another thing there is no type R in the U.S yet so where the hell did you little bro get a "RSX-R" from. also i got the impression of an auto m3 from those M3 owner on the clubrsx form. They also dout it too and told me that it might have been an auto that why he lose. one last thing from the vid i posted you can see that my little bro was racing a trans am. it's has 5.6L V8 w/ 310hp and 340 tq and it was neck to neck with it. Show your dad m3 do that then I'll say my rsx "type S" is slower then your dad M3!

Note : (this rsx is not stock, chip, intake, motor mount and short shifter.) If it was stock then i would beleave it myself.

my dad NO longer has it, BTW, it wasn't stock (Dinan intake, exhaust and chip, he also had head work done, I never saw him race a RSX-S, since they were NO out then, BUT I have driven it many times as well as my bros Type S and I can tell you, the M3 was way faster (even when it was stock).

Yes, they did for the later 4 door E36s. They didn't make many, but some had ATs.

now that I think about it, that sounds right, ONLY manuals in a 2 door and I think they were ONLY avail for 1-2 years (iirc)

Yep, that is what I remember too. Only ATs in 4 doors and only available for a couple of years. Kind of a hot grocery-getter.
