Default 1st times for my 5 spd auto

Actually its my wife's because she makes the big bucks. She only let me have two runs. the first was a 14.48 with a 2.19 60 ft (95mph trap) and the second was a 14.50 with a 2.20 60 ft ( 96 mph traps) The car is bone stock, no k&n filter, no grounding kit, BONE STOCK WITH ONLY 1900 miles. I was impressed. It go off the line good but ran out of steam on the top end. ( drive an ls1 which is the opposte). The car is very consistant, i want to bracket race in the this car.

my launches were as followed: I revved up to 1000 on the first run and feathered the gas, the second run i revved up to 2000 and punched but i only ended up spinning.

these cars are awesome, i want to trade in my z28 and get one of the babies.

From what I've seen, these motors oughta be fully broken in at around 10k miles. You should take it out to the track again around that time and see.

Michael.

yeah, I take my ls1 to the track all the time and my best has been a 12.96 @ 110 with a 2.19 60 ft. its a great car but i much rather drive the 350z. hopefully the dealers are going to offer the chip upgrade from nismo, we decided that is the first thing we are going to do to the car.

I also run a 5AT at the strip. Here is my first post and our initial times look very close to yours. I preload to 1500rpm and that works best at this track w/28lbs tp on hot tires. Just went to 18" 275/40 (see sig) in the back and have not yet had a chance to try this new setup yet. I have done very well bracket racing her too. Have fun! https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=20424

I ran off cold tires and i didn't drop the pressure, i know if i heated them up and dropped the pressure i would have done better, but my wife didn't want me to do any of that stuff to her baby.
