Airbag off switch?

Airbag off switch?
Guys, I need your advice.
As I've posted here in the past few months, I've been planning to have off-switches for my airbags installed for when I'm driving on the track and am using my harnesses.
I probably still have time to do it before going to Mid Ohio in early April, but I'm having second thoughts.
My original thinking was 1) while I'm wearing the harnesses, the airbags offer no substantial additional safety benefit. And 2) I'm better off spending about $600 to disable them than the $1,000 or more it would cost to replace them if they activate in a (possibly minor) incident on the track.
But now I'm wondering just how likely they would be to deploy and whether it really is worth it. Does any one have any good information about airbags (in the 350Z, not in general) going off in minor impacts, or the cost of replacing them after they have?
Any comments supporting or disagreeing with my original thinking?
Thanks.

AirBag on/off
I got a switch installed by sensible solutions 2 days ago. It cost $360.00 for everything. It took them about 90 minutes. The only problem I ran into is that the airbag light on the dash wouldnt reset, so a $65.00 trip to the dealer got it to reset.
Mine was done for my son, not racing, but it applies to your post none the less.

Oh Off Switch
The real reason that airbag on/off switchs have been invented and that the goverment requires that all airbags are able to be regulated for one is that airbags are unsafe for children, frail people and people under 5 foot tall. If the airbag explodes, it could kill them bu snapping the neck or do major damage to the head and face.
I have a 2 year old who I will take in my car maybe once a month.
As for reseting the dash light. I am under the impression that it can be done with a standard coding machine, but I am pretty sure this guy didnt know how to do it on our models.
You also need to get NHSTA permission before anyone will touch it.
