Default ran with an S2000 on 316 in GA

found a silver S2000, he definitly had exhaust, but it was loud as hell, so he might have had more. we did a 70-130run(I didnt know we were running, I had it in 4th expecting to reduce it to like 40 or so and then go) but he hit it, so I did too. he had the jump, but I was with him by 100 and pulling. easy kill. we did a quick spat from a stopor more like 5mph roll, which I took up to like 40, at which time he stopped trying, so I hit about 70 and realized and stopped.

he did have a small female passenger, I just had some clothes and the car PC chillin in the glove box.

fun times, and this was at like 9 PM with no one on the road. otherwise I wouldnt have done it, I dont weave through traffic... 316 at 9pm on a sunday isnt real popular.

good kill, i always thought it was a drivers race between the s2k's and 350z's. looks like i am gonna be racing an s2k soon, hopefully i will inch him since i am still very new to the whole sports cars with power thing. i think that i am getting better everytime i drive agressively. wish me luck!

yeah the high speeds we did sorta removed driver error, from 70-130 it was one shift... which we both performed cleanly. atleast he didnt drop back significantly so I assume so.

but from a launch, assuming you do it good, it should only be easier, since its a bunch easier to launch a Z and do ok, vs an S2000.

one funny thing is, on the 5mph roll, we go, and we're side by side more or less, and I have to shift, but it seems his RPMs just kept going up and up and up.

S2000 Red line Stock at 9k rpms... if You build the engine I seen some over 10250 Rpms...

If the S2000 isn't in VTEC, it's an easy kill for the Z.

Did the s200 have the top down?

I have put at least 2k miles on my neighbors s2000 and have never gotten over 136 with the top down at those higher speeds that car really begins to suffer from poor aerodynamics and weak engine.

That's about the only time it's not My girlfriend went to UGA and I was at GaTech. I've driven that stretch of 316 too many times to count.

Nice kill.

Never ran into an S2000 in my Z. All we seem to have around here are sorry-assed Civics, and I feel like Gargamel racing them.

Wow, you raced on 316???? You're lucky that you didnt get a ticket after going that fast. There are so many hidden cops around that area. Thats where I got my first ticket ever....What the heck is up with the speed limit???? Youve gotta be kidding me with the 55mph signs. The highway reminds me more of a drag strip than an actual highway.
