Supercharged NSX vs. 350 Z
A good friend of mine has a low mileage 91 supercharged NSX. He stop by my work today to go to lunch with me, on our way to the restaurant we took separate cars and on our way we pulled up to stoplight on the duel Lane highway that we were traveling. I could not pull directly next to him because of another car so I pulled directly behind him .we were talking on our cell phones and I asked him to give it all he had when the light turned green, that I just wanted to see how much he would pull away from me. My Z is a stock automatic touring 3400 miles . The light turned green he took off then I went after him he actually had a bit of a lead I couldn't believe that I basically caught him and stayed right with him up to 100 mph.
Not to disrespect my friend but I know he is not the best shifter in town but I was really shocked and he was too.

At a local dyno day a few months ago, there was an NSX with a Basch supercharger putting out only 280rwhp. Obviously, something was wrong with his setup. Perhaps your buddy needs to get his car tuned or learn how to drive. He should've stomped you.
I would agree, his supercharger is a comptech and he also had complete stainless steel headers and exhausts and a newer six speed transmission put in by an Acura professional. Afterwards I told him he should have it tweaked by Comteck or something. I have' driven the car quite a few times and it seems faster than my z more peaky not as linear, another problem might be he recently put a set of 19 in. rear 18 in. front wider rims and tires which he feels definitely slowed him down. I believe stock for that year was 16 and 17 in. and he went considerably wider.

You should definitely tell your buddy to get his car dynoed/tuned - his car has much more potential. BTW, it's 'Comptech.'
The earlier (pre '97) model NSXs should be a little bit quicker than a 350Z. However, I wouldn't be surprised if a 350Z walked an automatic C30 (pre '97) NSX, which makes about 250HP at the crank. The C32 ('97 and up) NSXs are much faster.
