went to the drag way tonight, my best time was 14.2 at 100 mph. All I need was spin couldn't get it to hook up, but I beat a new m3 he didn't hook up as well.I also had my 19's on.

sweet!! was your Z stock? My friend went to a drag strip in Sacramento and he said a couple Z's there ran very high 14's to low 15s. The best time i've seen on a Z was 13.6.. i believe he had CAI and exhaust tho.

 

I have a cai and no resonator, it was like 40 degrees out. couldn't get it to hook up to good though i would of done better.

 

Guilty.....i was one of those Z's.....my first time at the track......when i went through the water trough i ran a 15.35@98.23mph.......with driver error wheelspin, i ran a 14.63@99.89mph

This last Wednesday was a little better, i ran a 14.20@102.36mph.......i'm getting better......MaxHax told me next time i should let some air out of my rear tires.....hopefully i'll be able to break into the 13's soon

What pressure do you think your gonna run w/ next time? I wanna get a good idea of what I should use when I run. I was thinkin maybe 28lbs

 

Yeah.....i was told 28 is where it should be....i'm gonna try that next time i'm there.....gonna try to go with a quarter tank instead of a half, also

 

my buddy has a viper and he puts his down 20 to 25 lbs. He says thats where it will grip the best and it won't ruin the tires just fill them after your done racing.

 

Yeah, but we have an annoying little buzzer that will sound if we go below 28psi, and the idiot light on the dash will come on too

 

o yeah i forgot because i have my 19's with no sensors, a just put some earplugs on.

 

Yeah, i'm still on stock rims.....try out the lower PSI since you can do it.....let me know how it turns out
