thats just for now until they release some of those boosted kits for this car. the VQ 3.5 is no joke with a 75 shot of Nitrous, it will put out dam nearly the same amount of Torque an 03 Cobra is putting out. I personally witnessed it on a 2k2 Altima taking out alot of people on the road here in Marietta Ga

Considering ImportLife.com has yet to run better than a 13.1 on a 100 shot and I haven't seen anyone here do better, I'd say a similarly modded M5 Mach 1 has little to nothing to worry about. MM&FF ran well into the 11's with bolt-ons and no power adders. This is another car that's out of the VQ's league when it comes to straight-line performance.

Same torque as an '03 Cobra? Since you've let the mod cat out of the bag with your N20 talk, do you have any idea how much power bolt-on '03 Cobras are capable of?

- since we don't have a "Im with stupid" smiley

Unless you have some good details to back yourself up...Caswell just owned you.

If you read I didnt say nothing about a modded 03 Cobra. I am sure with bolt ons and a smaller pulley I am sure the Cobra is a beast. But on that same note, you are aware that 3.0 VQ maxima is running 11.9's in the quarter so I would not say the 3.5VQ 350Z is too far behind. This car just got released less then a year ago, let the aftermarket catch up. There is another 3.0VQ Turbo maxima that waxed a 03 Cobra. This guy use to live in Country ville Kentucky. The video is out there. For now I am awaiting a 3.0VQ swap to 3.5 VQ swap on a Maxima that a friend of my is building. I am happy with my little V6 saving lots of insurance money and just have enough power to get by.

I wasn't flaming or trying to own anyone. Even though I understand that the 350Z's aftermarket is still in its infancy, I get tired of the insistance at stock vs. stock comparisons. Honestly, I'd say it's safe to assume that the vast majority of car owners who're willing to street race have also modded their car to some degree.

When you started mentioning mods on a 350Z, especially major power adders such as N2O, I pounced in the chance to make comparisons to other modded cars. No flames intended, as tempted as I get with some of the delusional 350Z owners that populate this site.

One last thing... bolt-on '03 Cobras are well beyond 11.9's. If you're willing to throw nitrous into the mix you should check out a guy that goes by the name of Nitrous Pete. He's well into the single digits, and I'm almost positive he's doing it on a stock internal engine.

I believe you not impossible at all with a car thats a V8 supercharged and spraying. Ford beefs up those cars pretty good. If we had a V8 that would be awesome we would have more to work with like you guys. I aint going to lie stock GTs will always get me off the line, no any V8 gets me off the line all that torque and RWD and I am FWD. I am happy with my V6 3.0, over 370 miles per full tank maybe my next car might be a LS1 or a 350Z

One more thing we talking like formal adults here I dont know where I got owned came from so dont worry I know you arent flaming, I know I was not flaming anyone so I guess that person that typed that must feel like a total a ssss.

cobra is way out of the same leage as a mach 1 or GT. I don't think I would mess w/ them. I raced one in my old viper GTS, it gave me a good run for my money.

My Z is fast enough pal. I couldn't care less the mach 1 is a couple seconds faster in a straight line race. You couldn't pay me enough to drive one of those plastic ford rattletraps. In the end it's just a mustang and most people cant tell the difference between the mach 1 and the v6 aside from all the plastic body molding and stickers.

Nope, just pointing out the fact that you'll never see the front end of a Mach 1 as long as you drive that fugly, praying mantis, bug-eyed import from sushi land.

Again you show your ignorance since unlike your grotesquely underpowered Z car, the Mustang Mach 1 has a heritage going back to 1969 and the "sport slats" were part of the total package of both the Mach 1 and the Boss 302, which had nothing to do with the '80's, but that's probably as far back as your frame of reference can go, huh little man?

Subjective: Looks of both cars.....Fact: Mach 1 is quicker in the quarter mile. Trying to compensate for performance defiencies thru insults? Too funny. I have no problems with the way a Z looks...Not a bad looking car. But you went to the "Mach 1 is ugly" arguement. Yawn. We could argue about the looks all day long as I'm sure some of you will continue to do so. However, there is no denying which one is quicker.

You might confuse it for a V6 if you miss the shaker hood....or the striping on the hood....heritage wheels...or the Mach 1 badge on the rear (try looking there when one blows by ya)...

I'm sure your Z is fast enough for ya PAL....but not for me.

Paul
Driving just a Mustang to another low 13 second pass.....(13.2 at 106.5 to be exact!)

I believe that those things on the rear window are called lourves (sp?) the older Z's had them on there as well. Mach 1 has a heritage dating back to 1969? Well the Z's first production year was 1969. Z's have a lot of heritage too. No need to flame because truthfully, V8's will toast you good. I love Japanese cars, but I respect any other car that's fast, and I think you should too. If you want to talk fast, go find a guy named Darius. He owns a blown ls1 in a 240z . Actually I think the site is www.darius240z.com . Have fun now.

Not unless your mustang runs low 10s bud....remember, that thing is A LOT lighter than an F-body with an LT1...I have a video of Darius running a Yamaha R1 from a stoplight and he's nearly dead even with it the whole way...
