Flyingscot took his Track model out at VIR North last weekend for the first time. He usually runs his race-prepared NX 2000 but, darn it he had brake problems on his NX so he had to run his Z!

BTW: When I was riding with him he was hitting over 120MPH in the main straight.

Missed it, And I have been waiting for him to run the 350Z for a while.

BH, do you now if he will be bring it or the NX down to CMP?

 

I think the NX will be at CMP, only reason he brought the Z was because his NX was having brake problems and there wasnt time to get it fixed. But I could be wrong

 

Guess I will need to find a way to break his brakes before hand then.

Plus I really don't want to go against the NX in the time trials anyways...

He seemed to be enjoying the torque of the 350Z. Power can be addicting!

Of course, I still like how the NX makes you work harder to get the same lap time. And without sticky tires, I think the NX is still quicker.

I've bought some Toyo T1-S 235/40/18 and 245/40/18 for my Canada trip. I'm expecting them to make the car a little more neutral in addition to having more grip due to the better tires.

CMP? We'll have to see.

Tim Peele proved there's at least another 1sec reduction in the VIR South lap time. I think 1.24s are not out of the question, which would be fine with me. I know I have a lot left to do to the car and one can always improve their line.

I found the 350Z is as easy to drive fast and as forgiving as the NX. It appears Nissan does well at making safe, fast cars for the masses. All they need now is to focus on making performance parts to make them truly high-end.

BTW, "mhoward1" my brakes break all on their own thanks
