I went to the drag strip today with a fellow Z owner. He has a 6sp(CAI). On the way to the track we did 2 runs. Off the line I beat him like a car length. Rolling start from 50, guy with the 6sp was pulling just barely. My 5AT Z is bone stock. Now for the race times at the track. This is my first time at the track. Did several runs in the low 14s. The weather was cool and humid at the LI strip. Mostly domestic dragsters. My best time was a 14.22(manual mode). Full auto slower times. This civic was on the left. Barely edged me. My friend did a best time of 14.22 with a 102mph. I won 2 times then it started to rain. had 1 more run to win to get the big bucks. Oh well they had to split it. Awesome times man, do you think if you had a 1/4 tank of gas with no spare tire or jack, and you break torqued, you could have gotten into 13s? I still haven't heard of stock autos breaking into 13s but I'm sure it's possible.

 

I really don't see why it's not possible for a automatic Z to run 13's even with spare tire. But, offcourse in order for that to happen, i am assuming it's needs more then just a aftermarker performance exhaust & intake.
