i'm not completely sure, but i remember reading a car mag(either motortrend of c & d), that the vg30dett ran a 13.8 quarter mile and a 5.3 0-60, but of course, i'm not really positive on any car magazines...any. I've heard that both z32 and z33 run pretty same times in the quarter, and almost even in the 0-60. also, some stock z32 drivers have also said that their car is overrated in bhp: "it felt more like 280 bhp, than the claimed 300bhp", but whatever, i never owned a z32, just a new nissan superblack 350 enthusiast = )

Hmmm,
Suprised no one posted yet. I'll be first to bite, I think the 350 would beat it off the line (stock for stock) because it has a better weight transfer, not to mention instant torque as where the turbo's have to spool up on the 300. On the highway, on hot days, and at higher altitudes the 300 may be faster due to the forced induction, especially from a roll.

Only way to know for sure, is to race a stock z32, i'm not sure if there are any around here stock where i live, usually slightly modded, or heavily modded, there are 2 z32s that i know, one w/ 420 bhp/370 rwhp, and another is 330bhp/280rwhp(closest to stock), but still, i won't have a way to find out till i find a stock one.
Zogan, what do you mean a different kind of fast? you mean naturally asperated (z33), instant acceleration fast? or the 32k rpm + kick in of the turbo fast?

My 300ZXTT, when stock, ran about the same 1/4mi times and trap speeds as my 350Z, but it still felt faster. The 350 engine is much more responsive and has instantaneous torque, as opposed to my 300 which had turbo lag for a few seconds then exploded with horsepower. The best illustration of this was having autocrossed both cars. I had a difficult time with the 300 because of turbo lag. It felt like a slug when trying to leave from slow 2nd gear corners. In contrast, my 350 feels much better when autocrossing because the instantaneous low RPM torque. That, however, is autocrossing. On the open road the 300 felt a lot faster, but that's because all of the thrust came at high rpm under full boost. The 350's acceleration is much more linear and spread out over the entire RPM range. The area under the accleration curve is probably the same for both though. Another example of this was my 1991 Supra Turbo (MKIII) that was heavily modded. It was slower in the 1/4mi than either my 300 or 350, but it still felt fast than my 350 because it had terrible turbo lag, then WHAM!!!, the turbo would kick in and for a split second the acceleration felt amazing. In this case, lots of acceleration but for only a very short amount of time so not much area under the curve in total. My 350 feels slow because it's acceleration is spread over a longer time period, i.e., linear acceleration. Of course, after the twin turbos get added, it'll feel much better.
