Great! It'll be good finally to have some other Zs at the Point.
Noah: the key is to get there early. Be the first one to get to the registration office (in the building by the paddock). I don't recall whether they open the gates at 7:30 or 8:00, but don't be much later than 8, and you should get in.
Don't let weather scare (either of) you off. First off, it's practically certain you'll get in (Noah), and you'll learn plenty, perhaps more than if it were dry. Your VDC will give you an edge that other novices won't have, and will go a good way to keeping you safe. (But don't get cocky!)
That said, I sure hope the weather is good. I still haven't had a nice, warm, dry day on the track in the Z.

I am surprised I haven't seen ur sunset yet. I have a SB and live in Clarksville. I will keep an eye out for u. I am pretty much stock, just tint. But I will be the guy driving like an idoit running as many of those K**king supped-up hondas that I can find!
Have u met many other Howard county Z owners?

Yes, I are... am in Columbia, but I work from home, so I don't do a lot of daily driving.
I've met three or four 350Z owners who live in Howard County. Last October I chased down the driver of the first one I saw live in person, weeks before I got mine. It was a DB that the guy had just picked up from the dealer 15 minutes earlier, when the guy who pre-ordered it backed out.
I met a woman (with an SB, I think) at the car wash with her young son. She either wasn't too interested in talking about the car or wasn't too interested in talking to me (I get a lot of that), or both.
There's another SB here in Columbia, a black guy named Tony who was at our big meeting last year.
I saw a DB parked at the Wilde Lake Tennis Club the other day. Didn't meet the owner.
And my next door neighbor (who works at the dealership where I bought my Z) has a friend with a CS who comes by every once in a while, so occasionally our parking lot has two Z's in it. Kinda cool.
We should try to put together another MD/VA/DC meet.

So, noahbuddy and mdepena: when you get to the track on Friday a.m., save spaces in the paddock for the three of us. Whoever's there first, just move some of your stuff, or a trash barrel, into the spaces on either side of you so we can all park together.
I don't have to be there until much later than you guys. I'll probably roll up around 9:30, when you're getting out of your first class.
See you soon!

AHHHH!!!!!!! This Weather SUXXXXX.
now they are calling for rain all day long. I just got back from a short trip to Fla and the weather was sooo nice. I'm debating now, I wouldn't mind the occasional drizzle and a little water on the track, but I don't want to get soaked all day long.
But, who can say Aug 15 will be any better?
I don't know, we'll see...

I'm going anyway. I just installed my Borla and Iwant the ECU to notice it.
I have a rattle I need to fix, though. The right-side resonator is touching the brace under the middle of the car and it is bugging the hell out of me. Tried repositioning, but no go. I may need to find some sort of non-melting spacer.

noahbuddy,
What happened? mdpena and I had a good time.
Despite the threatening weather, it was a pretty good day. Rain for the first session, drying the second, and almost completely dry the last two. You never can tell.
