Default 12.44 at raceway park 7/6/03

First run of the day. After a HOT and Steamy Saturday running 12.7 and 12.9 all a day. The drag radials could not hook up. 60 foot time 2.06, 2.10...

we came back sunday for more runs.

first run of Sunday morning.. BANG , 12.44 115 mph

later in the day andrew got the 60 foot down to 1.96 but again the track was 135 dergees, so it was tough...

i'll post the video in a day or two... 14 runs... great day,

Performance Motorsports and Smithtown Nissan's 350Z came in Third in bracket on Saturday $$. We came in Forth on Sunday.

Congrats. Very nice times--it's even more of an accomplishment when you have to deal with track conditions like that.

Damn 135 track temps!? With track temps like that cars should have snorkels that are a couple feet high to get some decent air temps

A multi stage system works basically like this: The first shot (in this case 150) goes straight off the line, allowing for a good launch, without too much power to spin the tires like mad. THe next stages "kick in" so to speak at a certain distance, mph, or time period, and add additional power to the original shot. So now you've basically got 75 hp (in this case) more than you did off the line, allowing for better ETs and mph (also assuming nothing breaks--lol). I was part of a drag bike team that used a two stage nitrous system for years, but we used a lot more juice than bluefish. Then again, we had to keep the bike in the low 7s and high 6s to be competitive.

Does that make sense?

Don't forget that the first stage is progressive. He's not hitting the 150 shot right off the line. Depending on which controller he's running it could be brought up to full power over time or via throttle position. I'm sure bluefish can give the details.

I am wondering why run a two stage system with a progressive first stage? Why not just run a single 200-250 shot progressive? No jets that big?

well, nobody really know how much VQ35DE can take. So this all new.

Plus it's not running at full NOS all day.

thats the next stage. uping the first stage to 200 shot...

we are taking the z engine to the max. we want to know what she will take before she blows...

your disciption is correct...

more about that later.

ls1's with nitrous make that kind of power and run in the ten's.
tires will be the key. we have had trouble hooking up at the line.

adding a linelock for a real burnout, and drag slicks should get us in the mid to high 11 seconds...

Not yet.

before the pulleys were added, BONE STOCK 246 RWHP dynoed for UR .

no dyno after the mods, will re-dyno after new flywheel and clutch go in next week.

If you are going to the NE regional meet you will see the Car in CT.

Why don't you run the 75 shot first to allow for better traction off the line and then the 150 shot when the car had hooked up?
