Thanks to the guys at NX for their help yesterday..
A multi stage system works basically like this: The first shot (in this case 150) goes straight off the line, allowing for a good launch, without too much power to spin the tires like mad. THe next stages "kick in" so to speak at a certain distance, mph, or time period, and add additional power to the original shot. So now you've basically got 75 hp (in this case) more than you did off the line, allowing for better ETs and mph (also assuming nothing breaks--lol). I was part of a drag bike team that used a two stage nitrous system for years, but we used a lot more juice than bluefish. Then again, we had to keep the bike in the low 7s and high 6s to be competitive.
Does that make sense?

Don't forget that the first stage is progressive. He's not hitting the 150 shot right off the line. Depending on which controller he's running it could be brought up to full power over time or via throttle position. I'm sure bluefish can give the details.
I am wondering why run a two stage system with a progressive first stage? Why not just run a single 200-250 shot progressive? No jets that big?

Plus it's not running at full NOS all day.

so your runninhg a 225 shot with the two stages..then the car seems a little slow to me considering that would be what about 450- 475 hp at the wheels and over 500ftlbs of torque.
not flaming just curious.
ls1's with nitrous make that kind of power and run in the ten's.

adding a linelock for a real burnout, and drag slicks should get us in the mid to high 11 seconds...

have you ever dynoed this car with and without the 2 stages of juice.
before the pulleys were added, BONE STOCK 246 RWHP dynoed for UR .
no dyno after the mods, will re-dyno after new flywheel and clutch go in next week.
If you are going to the NE regional meet you will see the Car in CT.
