1st AutoX: thanks for your help (warning: pics)
Good afternoon,
Last week I posted a thread requesting help from all the AutoX'ers here. Everyone posted some very helpful information and it went a long way. I justed wanted to say thanks and let everyone know how things went.
The AutoX:
Held by Akron Sports Car Club, the event was amazing. It was well run, had great people, and there was a large turnout. More than 100 drivers raced. If you live in northern Ohio, I would highly suggest making a drive to these events. They are great fun.
My Results:
Please keep in mind that my goal for my first go around was simply to stay on course. I memorized the course well and never went off. I also never hit a cone. Furthermore, I finished last in my class (3 cars total), but I was only 3.5 seconds behind. My goal for the next race is to keep better control in the corners and to place better than last.
Here are some photos of me driving in the event:

You should actually be in ASP, not BSP. I already bought BSP magnets, then was told ASP is where I would go with mods. This was also discussed on the SCCA forums. I decided to stay in the stock class.
