Just check out the Summit Point Web site: http://www.bsr-inc.com for the next class. The next few are filled up for the novice group, but if you come out early (no later than 8) one of those days, you may be able to get in. Even if you don't, you'll be able to hang around with the rest of us, and probably do a skid pad exercise (free!). And if I'm there, I'll take you for a ride in one of my sessions. I won't be there on Sept. 19, but I just signed up for Oct 17 (my birthday).

I'll also be at Seat Time on Sept 25 (probably) and Oct 2. But you could only observe if you came to those, since they are for Group 2 (advanced) drivers only.

They're saying they hope the new Shenandoah track will be finished at the end of September, and they've already scheduled a Seat Time (Oct 24) and a FATT (Nov 7) on it. The Nov 7 is wide open, so sign up now, and be one of the first to drive the new track!

See you there (or at the snow-cone stand).

Group 1 still, I don't think I'm anywhere proficient enough to be running with the big boys in group 2.

I'm in Group 2.

FATT only has two classes: 1 and 2. Group 1 is divided into 1a and 1b, but there's no experience difference, it's just that they have more than twice as many newbies as old guys.

When you've been rated by an instructor as ready to solo, you are put in Group 2. Your first time in Group 2 you have to ride with an instructor who certifies you as okay to solo in Group 2.

Daewoo: I personally guarantee no snow on Nov 6 or 7, but if it rains, don't let that stop you from coming out. You learn as much or more in the rain, even if it's your first time. And as long as you listen to your instructors, you won't damage the car.

Thai - glad you signed up as well. I also saw that u r going to be at the dyno event on Sat. I will be there as well. I am dying to see DrBonz's SC'd BY. See you then.

John - I will be in group 1. This will be my first time on a track. I think I can drive but i fear that this event may be a little humbling.

commasense - I am going to hold you to the no snow prediction

I had way too much fun at my first FATT to not sign up for another. It is definitely a humbling experience and you learn so much in the process too.

It's going to be humbling all over again for me since we may be on the new track and we'll have to learn a new line.

I'll be at the dyno this saturday, I've been wanting to dyno the car for a while now. Perfect time!

See you this weekend.
