Default What does it feel like when ur clutch is slipping

Thanks

Drive in fifth gear down the road, if you give it gas and the RPM's move up with no reaction from the car you need a new clutch. Power is not completely transfered to the wheels.

Thanks Mr P.

But I have noticed it when in 4th and pushing it hard. It will (around 4-5rpms) hesitate for a split second. The rpms will jump all over the place. I will try the 5th gear trick.

Can you explain what is actually happening? Also, given that they put in a new clucth less than 2 months ago (when they replaced the bad tranny) and I know how to drive a stick what would lead to the clutch going bad so quickly?

Thanks

I am sure 4th gear will work just as well to test. Improper installation I would assume is the cause.
