I highly doubt that a 3.9 would be in his best interest. He will have awesome torque which mean that the stock should be fine or a 3.3 could be better possibly. First and second gear would be super hard to hook up in with a 3.9 I think.

You let the news out. Saw this setup in person, those pistons look stout!! It's going to be a sick setup I can't wait to see how well it does. I've always wanted to see a sick build up NA.

Whos cute blue car is that in the background???

Ive been wondering what you were building. Thats some serious compression. I too dont think those cams will maximize power potential. Good luck and take lots of pics/videos.

yeah i am aware of the cams not maxing out the power. its a good starting point though and i am sure i will just change them out here soon. me doing all the work myself in my own car, it will only take a few hours, plus my car is pretty gutted out so we can have the motor out and apart in no time at all.

i am just going to see what she will do like this and then upgrade to some long tube headers and some crazy cams...

thanks guys...

I just found this thread......I knew your plans, but I'm excited to see you going forward with it!

With your rpm goals, I see a mustang 8.8 rear conversion in the near future. There just aren't enough gear choices available if you are going to maximize this setup for the 'ol 1320!!!

Hers's a set of 6.14:1 gears for ya!!!! Talk about torque multiplication!!!

Then, you'll get the pizza cutters of the ground.

Will you be cryo-treating anything inside that engine? When you do add the nitrous, how will that be controlled, and will you use a progressive system? Sleeves?
I need to make a trip down to Orlando soon. Can any of this be replicated/played off? Thanks.

i will keep everyone updated with whatever i learn from this, hell i might start it up and start bangin valves.

i think it will be ok though. block is not sleeved and i have the jets for a 225 shot in there now but will try to at least go to the 350-400 shot range on nitrous alone

who cares if it blows up??!!! hahaha

no cryo treatment, i was trying to do it all on a little budget, i will be controlling the nitrous with 28 inch slicks...
