Default Airbox pressure question

i was just wondering if itīs the same as with bikes.most of the race bike
build more and more pressure in their aribox the faster they go and "add more" hp the faster they go(thatīs what i was told by a kawasaki magazine).
so itīs jsut like a little "turbo" .
would this be possible with our Z too??? i guess yes but not quite sure about.

i would think its the same principle
the idea of FI is to compress air to push more air in
i also think it would depend on how you plan on increasing the pressure. if you put a restriction on the engine side of the air box, it would increase the airbox pressure but you would probably lose power. if you increase pressure by somehow getting more air in, then you would probably gain.

People forget the engine is already pressurized by the Earth's atmosphere to 14.7 psi [at sealevel].

This might be of some help:

wow, i didnt quite read that whole article, but im assuming it says that for ram-air to really be beneficial then you have to be going very fast, think 150mph, or have a GIANT scoop. if ram air was beneficial at normal speeds, every car would have some form of it. you might gain .5 HP though, but I think ram-air also creates more drag

Remember the engine air horn inlet before air filter is already pressurized by 14.7 psi [earth's atmospheric pressure].

At 40 mph the max possible is 0.77 " H20 or 0.77/27.7 or 0.0278 psi
At 80 mph ~ 0.11 psi
At 160 mph ~ 0.445 psi or just about 3% more HP.
All this is added to 14.7 psi at sea level
