Turbo timer is a freebie from the shop and serves a function in a tropical environment. Also if you look into the spec, it times your 0-100kmh, 1/4 mile and several other functions. When I turn the key off after 6 laps at the track and leave the car, the engine will continue to run until oil and water temp are down to set levels. Turbo or not, it serves a function.

The drive train? I'm not testing hp at the crank and would hope not to get any slip on the dyno, but helps to realize how the dyno results may transfer to the street in action. I could edit the absolute non-essential info out for those offended by a long list?

That is the list of components for his own personal build that just so happens to consist of some Cosworth parts.

A Front Center Pipe is the same thing as a "Y-Pipe."

Thanks Kwame, ditto that! This Cosworth short block has been assembled/built by the Singapore branch of HKS Technical Factory http://www.hks-garager.com.sg
I am still waiting on delivery of the Cosworth Intake Plenum before tuning and dyno test which will be posted here.

I hope to get somewhere near the scc build but will be limited by discplacement so if I can get near to 400 will be very pleased. Near means over 300 WHP!

As you are using the HKS Valcon camshafts which only have modest lift (10.5mm) & only
264 deg of duration you are not going to get anywhere near 400.

If not, what a waste of $2,400 for variable timing control! I'll be looking for Nismo Spec 2 cams if the HKS cams prove to be disappointing.

UnfairLadyZ, I emailed Eric Hsu at Cosworth for final numbers just before they were announced in SCC magazine but did not get a reply. My engine will finally be tuned, with or without the long awaited Cosworth twin plenum manifold on the 16th of this month. My tuner will take 2 or 3 days to complete the job and will go over it again when (and if) the plenum shows up. I have also orderd the Kinetix SSV manifold and will test them both.

Default 401/321 - awesome!!

It is done, I will scan it in the morning.

401.7hp at the fly wheel @7670rpm
321.3whp @7687rpm

329.7 lb/ft fly wheel torque @4954rpm
263.7 lb/ft rwt @4970rpm (I will need to check this, it is reading by a factor x final drive on the print out)

Dynapack Chassis Dynamometer

Fuel: HKS Drag Racing Fuel
95 degrees F.
>90% humidity

Scan will follow tomorrow when I get to the office.

Tuned by Lester Wong - HKS Technical Factory Singapore.

Finally tracked you down. Was great meeting you at Garage R earlier this evening.

Wonder if there are anymore my350Z members in Singapore.

Anyways...nice car and nice dyno graph...still can't get over the pig tail in the graph...you better explain how that happened when you post the dyno graph up

Cheers Discom! It's the friction brake engaging.

You will see it up in the morning.

Nice to meet you too.

Good torque #'s and right where it should be power wise given the mods

I'm sure the race gas helped given the temp and humidity too, so good stuff - what were the pump gas #'s?

We used 100% HKS Drag Racing Fuel. They don't actaully publish the numbers. I'll ask again tomorrow at the shop and photograph the 20litre cans it comes in. I was going to go with VP MS109 but the supplier ran out so went the extra on the HKS fuel to finally get the tune and dyno done. I'll let you know what HKS will let me know.

Default 401bhp/321whp

Here they are!

The torque wheel power is calculated by the lb/ft scale/the ratio (which is 3.9 final drive + 2 for the dyno drive so 1,556/5.9 = 263.7 lb/ft)

The date on the file is not correct. It was done last night (30 March 09).

Z1 - All I can get is 110 from a spec sheet in Japanese. The can does not say and the spec sheet is in Japanese and only has one rating.

did you do any dyno runs on just normal fuel, or only the HKS race fuel? Just curious

enjoy the car!
